Sponsoring My Brothers and Parents

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Family Class sponsorship. Can any body give me information on sponsoring my brother and my parents. My brothers, one is 23 years old and one is 17. Can I sponsor them through Family Class ? I heard about Super-Visa for parents and grand parents. How much time do i need to be eligible to sponsor my parents by Super-Visa.

To sponsor parents and their dependents, you need to show 3 years of Canadian income meeting the necessary LICO level. Also the program is closed, not opening until January 2015, at which time you would need to meet income levels for 2011, 2012 and 2013.

A 17yr old brother could be sponsored under parents as dependent, but 23yr old could ONLY be sponsored if he was in school full time since turning 22, and stays in school full time during entire application process (up to 5-6 years).

You can apply supervisa anytime for parents. The process is very quick, but they need to purchase travel medical coverage for 1 year. I don't think brothers would not be included in supervisa, so all they can do for now is apply for regular travel visa.
