You will have to be careful if your husband is sending you large amounts of money.

Immigration may frown upon it as it "could" be perceived as a Marriage of Convenience and that he's paying you to sponsor him.

You have to sign an undertaking agreeing to be financially responsible for him for the next three years. While there is no minimum income requirement for sponsoring a spouse, you do have to show how you will be able to survive financially.

Quite a few people have been refused because Immigration "THOUGHT" that money was sent from the applicant to the sponsor.

I am not sure how you will want to answer the question, but you might want some advice on how NOT to word it. You just don't want them thinking that he's paying you to sponsor him.

Yes, you will need to point out that your husband is the income-earner in the family and supports you.

Jayde makes a good point, but as you are an American/Canadian couple, this is less likely to be a concern for you. Your countries have similar standards of living, it is less likely you will be scrutinised as someone possibly being paid to help your husband get status in Canada, as opposed to say, if he was from a developing nation.

Concentrate on things like assets (house, car) and savings/investments where you need to show income, and prove that you will not allow your spouse to rely on social assistance. You stated in your other thread that your children can offer financial support, get letters from them stating their awareness of your plans to move back to Canada, and how they are prepared to offer practical (housing?) and financial assistance in this regard.
