SOWP Extension Inside Canada

I have Work Permit and working full time (40 hours / week), It's contract job in teer 1 category. I have all pay slips, roles and responsibilities, title, duration and salary range as well in letter. My wife's work permit is about to expire in 4 months, need to apply it within Canada. Does job should be Permanent (No Ending Date) or it should work in my case ? Do we need any other information for it (Offer letter / Reference letter / Bank statement for both / SOP / Other documents) ?
