SINP - request for medical ... is this a good sign?

Hello,

I am currently on a working visa and my PR application (via SINP) was received Dec 24th 2012. Today I got an email giving me instructions to get my medical done. Is this a good sign? Can they still refuse PR at this stage even if you pass the medical? Or are we to assume that if they are calling for a medical, everything else checks out?

Also, I will either be going to Saskatoon or Prince Albert for the medical .... has anyone done a medical here and how much did you pay? Thanks.

With MR, you can assume that your application has passed preliminary checks (document completion, stream eligibility)

However there is still a long way to go which involves criminal records check and security checks.

Its the first stage... long way to go...it will cost u around $300.......
