CIC required to mentioned NON Accompanying dependents , (also if married before, you have to mention the date you were married)..even in the settlement funds, they must be part of your funds (just want to confirm that you have enough funds for them too while you are in Canada),
In your case you should inform CIC that your EX don't want to send your sons for medical, they will guide you how to proceed then..

There is no provision to add EX-wife in the application and you can only add your son into your application if you have legal custody against him.

If you inform CIC regarding your EX thn they will ask you about your current family members and if you have failed to provide the relevant details CIC will reject your file.
