But it'a too early to anticipate changing the status from "received" to " in process".
They have some other priorities: dealing with the old applications remaining from 2016, besides, Jan 4 OID applicants are ahead of us in the line.

Just be patient , hope for the best and prepare for the worst!

Mine is in process status and it was changed on the 2nd day.......I have applied on 4th Jan......OID.....noc 2171....currently waiting for fund conversion......

But can you clarify what do you mean by "waiting for Funds conversion" ?

As I understand is that while filling the application you put your fund amount in your local currency and then the equivalent value in Canadian dollars (may be using a website like xe.com) and the date of that conversion.

Is there anything else to do ?

If you want to know when SINP officials worked on your file to convert the funds, then leave the conversion date empty at the time of filing your application. Once that date appears in Settlement Fund screen, thats an indication of your case nearing decision as it is the last step before nomination.

Thank you, that clarifies a lot . So, in my case, I have added the date of fund conversion, will they change it once they check the funds? or only in case it it empty?

Even if you have already filled the "Date of Conversion" row in your profile, the officers will change, when the time comes ...

Date which will appear after officer converts, will be the date of your application filing date.

I have mentioned for those only who left that field empty intentionally to know about this aspect as this tip is ongoing from other members as a chain from last year.

As far as your case is concerned, i am not aware of it as none of the person in my network ever filled it, may be someone who has gone through this scenario, can inform correctly.

What balance you mentioned at the time of your application? Closing balance or minimum balance in the statement period?

As per experience of one friend, he mentioned the closing balance and didn't entered the conversion date.

The change he observed was: The officer changed the balance he mentioned (Closing) and he changed it to the minimum balance in his entire statement and converted into CAD accordingly as per date of application submission and entered the date as well.

So, this is how normally they operate.

Well, if you have the balance in safe range then no tension.

I hope someone can help me.

About the "Settlement Funds Proof", can we use chequing bank statements (certified translated in case of non-English) or should we provide a letter from the bank? My understanding is that chequing bank statements would be enough, but I would like to ensure that.
