It doesnt really matter - either way is good. US or Canadian both are acceptable. The benefit is US is that it is over Cad $.

Dude in Canadian Dollars ONLY. You'll have to convert them back to CDN if you purchase USD and will end up losing money to agents. SO purchase CDN only man. There is actually a significant difference, take travellers check if you are taking a big amount with you. and in CDN only, USD are uselss in Canada.
