Ecas not always shows correctly , sometime technical errors on the website, nothing serious , not to worry bro, it is dec, holidays coming , delay can be, another reason is quota reached etc....
Thanks Taivoi. I saw from your signature timeline Quinny's took 1 month 8 days for visa's to come back. Hopefully mine is following that timeline. Just jittery at this stage... Keeping my fingers crossed.

silversufer, is CHC-SIngapre processing your file as PNP?? how come your processing time is so short?? or have u transfered your file to other CHC? your response will be highly apprecited.
@ redstone, yes. CHC Singapore is processing my file as provincial nominee. I'm not so sure why it's short. I initially specified Manila as my VO of choice in the application as it is one of the speediest VO in the region based on the cic website. I guess they try to put your file in the best place possible to assess your application. They also probably saw the length of time I spent in Singapore and decided that CHC Singapore is the best place to assess my files and the supporting documents in my PR app.

We are aware that SGVO was going to take considerably longer compared to Manila VO to process our application, so we decided to apply for the open work permit(OWP) option just in case it takes longer than expected. We were fortunate that SGVO, after we submitted our OWP application, decided to start moving our PR application instead of the OWP. This is just my opinion, but when they probably did background checks on our OWP they probably saw our PR application and decided to progress it.

To tell you honestly, we were in the mindset that it will take another two years from the point of AOR but just got lucky with the application.

Hope this helps and all the best in your application :)

Hi Silversufer,
I had the same case of you, my PR application was pending with SGVO, when I applied to OWP, they simply approved my OWP. Later on I got my file transferred to New Delhi, as SGVO was really slow. i believe you are lucky.

@atingsingh, thanks for the info. I thank God for the opportunity. The wait is really tough and now that you've successfully transferred to a new VO I hope you get some good news too. Cheers and all the best in your application :)

@ Alan, for us, we just got a letter of invitation to apply for it. Our invitation had a deadline to it. And even the recent bridging program bulletin is expired.

It's supposed to be a bridging program last 2012 that allows for early integration into Canada while waiting for visa.( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2012-12-17.asp ).

More information on who can apply for OWP @ http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=177&t=17

I think that for those not yet in Canada, it's by invitation, but for those already in Canada and are still waiting for PR they have the option to for themselves and their spouse.

I also see a handful of threads here discussing this topic and you may need to back read on a few of them if you need deeper insights from other forum members.

Hope this helps. Cheers and all the best in your application :)
