when i ask SVO about my wife file status i got thisreply from them. it was on August 10 and File goes In Process in December. In Feb she received PPR letter with supporting documents returns.

When SVO received application they creat File No and UCI no.
Wish you good luck.
hi mirjahan,

Hi Shana, in your 1st stage approval (sponsor approval) letter you will see your husband UCI number and your file number. You can use your file number and your others info (DOB, country of birth etc) to access ecas. If you use that UCI number you have to use your husband's other info to access ecas. Don't worry about your UCI number. First I saw my UCI number in my GCMS notes. As I see according to their all letters, visa office always use the file number to correspondence with the applicant. May be I am wrong.
Did you apply your notes yet? If yes and you already have it, please check it and you will get your UCI number there.

Hi, My brother is planning to apply for PR, His wife is a Permanent Citizen.

While looking at the checklist:

9. Original of completed Schedule A - Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) - for the sponsored person and each family member 18 years of age or over, signed by the person concerned.

11. Original of completed Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) - for the sponsored person and each family member of 18 years of age or over, singed by the person concerned.

26. Originals of Police certificates and clearances - As per documents list provided in the Immigrant's guide.
Immigrants guide: Original police certificates or clearances from each country in which you and every one in your family aged 18 years or over have resided six months or more since reaching 18 years of age in the last 10 years.

Also the guide is asking for medical checks, photos - for "each family member".

My brother has to fill these required forms/documents of course.

But question is do rest of the family (mother, father, myself) has to get police certificate, medical checkups, photos too??
Or when they say "each family member" - they mean the people who are applying for PR like dependents???

I am Confused because, it is not making any sense to make the whole family go through security checks, when only 1 person is applying for PR.

We are not applying for PR here. He is getting sponsored by his wife.
It is for each family member who is applying with you. You don't have to get police checks for the whole extended family, but you are suppose to declare them coming our not. For eg if you failed to declare a child or parent, our if someone was applying under a different category and failed to mention a spouse then tried to sponsor said person later, they would be charged with misrepresentation and the application refused. You just get the required paper work for the'family' that is immigrating and declare the other immediate family.

Hi Bangla,
Sorry, I was away and couldn't post here. You wanted to know about the TRV process. I agree with you that it is a mystery that nobody can solve. Who knows what goes through the VO's head. My wife was rejected the first time with the explanations pretty much same as you have mentioned, Strong ties and all. She applied on paper on September 9, 2013 for the first one.

We applied again for TRV on November 19th, 2013, and this time we did it online and got the visa. Another relative of mine applied online at the same as we applied the first time and got TRV. Not to mention she was also refused the first time few months back.

I wish I could tell you what convinces the visa officers. but what I can tell you is what I did both the times and from that may be you can see the difference and conclude something fruitful. Send me an email at saquib_c@yahoo.com and I'll talk to you then.

It's 30 physical days (not business days) if the Canadian applies with a permission form from the applicant.
Otherwise it takes longer. If you did this you should definitely email them to ask what's going on with your notes. Even in the case of otherwise I don't think it's more than 90 days. I emailed them on day thirty and the hrs later got the notes. I got a response to the email asking about my notes a few days later. You should email atip to ask for sure

Hi Tuntuni,

Yes, I used to order GCMS note under physical file on 20 Jun 2013 and until now they forget me, no answer from them. I have just re-order new one on 14 Nov but electronic file, they email to me will release to me on 16 Dec. I'm waiting for it. You should ignore that note and re-order new one and input electronic file, just takes 30 days.

My note? Why ignore it? They answered me in 3 days. Also they were paid for. By all means order them again if you want, but you deserve to know what happened. I was talking about an electronic application, what I meant was it takes 30 calendar days, not business days (which would be six weeks) IF the person who applied was Canadian with signed permission from the applicant. So if that's the case, email atip and ask what happened. They will respond quickly and the mystery will be solved. Even if it was the applicant applying with the higher fee, it shouldn't take this long. clearly something went wrong

In case you ordered the physical file, where was it getting mailed to? Maybe it got lost. Yes ordering it by email is undoubtedly faster, and also more sure. Did you use a service? I'm wondering where you got 27 from, days or was that a date?

Hi, I mean that Tuntini should ignore GCMS note physical file. Because I ordered it on Jun, Atip replied to me will send it within 30 days, but I didn't receive it. On the day of 60th, I emailed and asked them to check they just said that physical file need time to process and tell me wait more. I'm tired of waiting without responding. So I re-ordered new one on Nov, I think with electronic file I can get it in 30 days as many people. In case they reply Tuntini wait to 90 days, I think Tuntini should order new note is better.

I also email to CAIPSNOTE.COM to ask about physical file whether it affect to processing PR application or not. They answer me that because physical file will be photocopied from our application so maybe it will be affected, this is just thought by staff from CAIPSNOTE.COM so finally I did not push them to get physical file for me anymore.
