Hi All,

I am a new member in this forum. I found this forum is very useful as there are many dedicated people are here.

I have few questions just before sending my application. I will be sponsored by my husband who is now a permanent resident in Canada.

I would be grateful if anyone can kindly suggest me, how I, as a primary applicant, can fill out the application forms.

Q.1.
a. Generic application Form Canada (IMM0008ENU_2D):

Do I need to fill out the dependent section of this form? We don’t have any children. My spouse is in Canada as a PR and is going to sponsor me. The instruction says that I have to include my spouse. What should I do?

b. Generic application Form Canada (IMM0008ENU_2D):

Language preference for
Correspondence: English
Interview: Bengali (I mentioned Bengali because I want to speak them in Bangla)
Interpreter requested: Yes/No (What should I write here?)

Q.2. I think I don’t need to fill out the additional Dependant/declaration form.(as there is no dependant)

Q.3. Background Decleration form

Number of study:
At present I am studying BSS 3rd(Final) year.I am waiting for my final exam so I obtained no degree. (Total years since my Elementary is 14 yrs+??)

a. What should I write in “Highest Level of Education” question?
-Bachelor’s Degre
or
Post Graduation; No degree

b. How can I distribute my education years (14yrs+)?-

Elementary/primary school: ?
Secondary/High school: ?
University/College: ?

Q.4. Personal History:

Now I am 22.
Should I start documenting my history since my 18 th Birth day or for the last 10 yrs?

Q.5. Additional Family Info form:

Should I use a separate photocopy of that form to write my family members name in my native language ( Bengali)?

Q.6. When I will send the gift card/letters/photo call history to the VO with my application package, should I send the original or the photocopy?

I would be glad if you could help with your valuable suggestions.

Regards,

Aiisha

Hello thepie,

I am in the same timeline as you, here is my timeline after 14 months:

- Application mail to CPC-Mississauga August 8th, 2011. ECAS= Application Received
- AOR Received by CPC-Mississauga August 9th, 2011. ECAS= Application Received
- File Transfer to Singapore November 7th, 2011. ECAS= Application Received

I'm a little concern now. My wife's status changed from "Application Received" to "In Process" on Sept 18th, since then we have not heard anything from VO. Other applicants with similar time frame had been request to resubmit their medical and criminal result and passport within a few days of their status change. Should I be worry that my wife's application might be tag for interview?
Hi CTC027,
You shouldn't be worry too much...your wife will receive a package from SVO very soon.

Cheers,

Got an email Jan 31, 2012 saying that I am eligible as a sponsor and the application has been forwarded to Singapore, but in my eCAS under my wife Permanent Residence Application Status, it shows the application and Medical Results has been received on Dec 6, 2011, same day as Mississauga...how's so?

BTW, it's still "Application Received"
Hello QPH,

I think your application status will change from "Application Received" to "In Process" very soon..it take me 14 months.

Hey Bold9900,

We have a very similar timeline. Has your wife sent the package to IOM yet? I believe it is Ms. Tam and Ms. Uyen who takes care of that. Are you Vietnamese Canadian? I am Vietnamese-Canadian living in Ontario. Congrats on the PPR btw, the hard part is over. Now for the not-so-but-still-excruciating last bit.

best of luck!

Hey QPH,

I wouldn't worry too much about that date. I think it has something to do with the fact that the officers/RMO/CIC-Mississauga use the same online system (GCMS). But, in any case, I wouldn't worry about it. According to your timeline, I think your application will be reviewed very soon! Best of luck!

Hey Kurt,

Ms. Tam and Ms. Uyen are workers at the International Organization of Migration located in Ho Chi Minh City. They cannot affect the decision of an application, but they can help with filling out application stuff, and sending items to Singapore.

Are your addresses different on your eCAS?

What do you mean? You mean your address has changed to montreal,ca from whatever address you're living in? They won't change your mailing address since you need to receive the pp in this address.

After how long you may see 'decision made'?

It happens before you get the 'decision made' in your e-cas. It happened with shaheenaz too, I just went back and checked 4 days after she said her hubby's home address changed to her canada's address, her husband received the passport from VFS. Here:

Your waiting is almost over.

Congratulations Kurt! That is very good news!

Hey Lightbd,

I've read from your previous post that SVO received your package Oct 3? SVO received mine on Oct 1, so we have very similar timelines! So do you know how it works? Does SVO update the address on eCAS a few days prior or do they update the 'in process' to 'decision made' then. Or when does it begin to show 'decision made'?
