Congratulations FOrtune89, WAV means waived, so you will not have an interview. Combined with the positive notes of your relationship, your application will likely be fast tracked now that the VO has determined you have no serious red flags and no need for an interview.
Thanks for ur respond :)

Hope u r right.

I recently ordered GMCS notes, in the Eligibility section, the Singapore VO wrote a positive summary of our case and ended the note with "Recommend WAV" in bold letters.

Does anyone have an idea what "WAV" would stand for?
So whats the diffrence between "recommend WAV" and " Recommend Passed" ?! :s

I don't think that is correct
Waived ... for sure would mean the interview is waived

However under eligibility our notes say recommend passed... we haven't had an interview yet... so how could that means we passed an interview??

I think the visa officers just have different ways of writing their notes... just my opinion.
:)

From my perspective both " recommend passed" and " recommend wav" are the same thing...but we cant take for granted that no interview for sure..but 99% sure shouldnt be any interview.

The reason i say this because look at the term : " recommend" which means the initial review officer is recommending the final visa officer that he checked all docs and recommends no interview shall be required...but it all depends on the final review.....but 99% chance no interview will be required...

If it was 100% certainty then the term should be "passed" or "waved".

Not " recommended" lol....makes sense? :)

SVO again become slow. I do not know what they are doing? SVO is slowly killing our life. After there is no significant progress here (we can say no progress at all). 3.5 months already over but no PPR letter yet. I am starting blaming my hubby even though I know he does not have any fault and he is doing his best.

Does anybody got PPR or Re-med last two weeks rather than Samkh?

hardtowait & SingaporeVO, Did you guys get any news from SVO about PPR? Plz share with us.

Yeah my file was last reviwed for Eligiblity Assesment on June 26th, 2013. Status is Recommend Passed but same Visa Office has a positive note in the NOTES section with last word "Recommend WAV" in bold. Does not say "Recommend Interview WAV" That is why I was confused.

Thanks all for your thoughts.

Hello Friends, I need some help on the following situation.
My Sister is new permanent residence in Canada. She Like to marry who is Bangladeshi but working in Saudi-Arab. Can we arrange marriage over telephone? I heard that in Saudi there are Bangladesh Kazi or Can be arrange through Embassy. Is the Telephone marriage still Legal with respect to CIC. Should her Fiance need to go Bangladesh for that? As her Fiance's parents in Saudi right now for Hajj ,I thought it would be convenient for both of us. please advise any risk doing so.
Thanks

Lets look at it objectively; okay what we have here is "Recommend WAV"
common phrases are 'Recommended passed' and 'Recommended interview'
There is absolutely no 'A' letter in interview so WAV can not be abbreviation for interview. Base on general knowledge, abbreviations should be one letter form first part, one letter from middle part and one letter from last part of a word. Instead we can find WAV in waived. :p :D

The best and reliable answer is going to Canadian embassy in Saudi Arabia and ask them to avoid any future delay or even refusal.

Hi Sama2012: No news from my end yet. I am puzzled and frustrated. Anyway, waiting is the only answer for all of us. I am happy to know that "samkh" at least got some good news. So SVO is working but differently and kinda slowly - that I can comment only.

By the way, good to hear from you. My wife also started to blaming me too.

Best advice is to have a marriage where Groom & Bride are present as well as parents from both sides. Then there has to be a reception where many others are present. You need pictures.

You can do without all the above, but then be prepared to wait longer or be ready for an interview. (Of course, if she is lucky then everything may go OK, but you are just taking a chance).
