Hi guys,
I would really appreciate if you shed light on my question. So I have a NOC code 2173 and work remotely for a software company. Everything is like I'm working for a regular employee: I work 40 hours/week, get fixed salary, have 20 days of paid vacation a year and national holidays. They even gave me an employer reference where it says that I'm employed by them. But because they are in another country and a rather small company, it would be difficult for them to hire me as an employee so we have a consulting agreement. In the contract it says: "Consultant shall be deemed an independent contractor. This agreement does not create an agency or fiduciary relationship between the parties."
So will my job anyway be considered as self-employed or I can put it as employment for a regular employer?
I have documents to prove work experience: employer reference with a business card, invoices, contracts but have problems with business registration.
