Review in progress means that they have received your documents and are reviewing it.

Evaluation in progress means that they have accepted your documents, no more documents are required and they have started your evaluation.

My evaluation was completed 2 weeks ago. It took 5-6 weeks, from the time they received the documents. During that time the status always remained "Documents received - review in progress" and never changed to "Evaluation in progress", though I checked it everyday. I contacted them in the beginning and they replied with a formal answer that the evaluation has started and then it requires at least 20 business days, but the status never changed to "Evaluation in progress".

So be prepared to accept that "Documents received - review in progress" is all you will see and that it will probably take more then 20 business days to be completed.

I paid the fee on the 1st of January and requested my transcript to be sent to WES on the same date. They receive all the documents in around 10 days. The status just changed to "Evaluation in Progress".

I had two assessments performed by WES.

Status changed to "Document Received - Review in progress" as soon as certificate was received, then changed back to "Awaiting documents" after a couple of days until transcripts from university were received. Status changed again to "Document Received - Review in progress". From there it took exactly 20 working days until results were ready online. Printed certificate was received by post after about two weeks (I am currently quite far from Canada.)

Same thing for my wife's credentials assessment, except that it took only 18 working days for hers to be ready online.

Status: "Documents received - review in progress" on 3rd February 2017.

I could view my ECA report online today after spending full 20 business days in "Evaluation in progress".
I thought, it was delayed a bit but arrived nevertheless. Now, eagerly waiting for wife's ECA to be completed in order to enter the pool.

My documents were received by WES in the first week of Jan 2017. From "Documents under review" the status changed to "Evaluation in progress" in mid Jan'17. 20 business days seems up and I have not received any result from them. I have contacted them twice from the online page even on twitter vide DM. I just got a standard response that it is under evaluation.

What's going on with WES? Anyone have a similar issue with them? They are definitely not honouring their 20 business days commitment.

Hi,

Got the hard copy of my ECA Report today. So here is my final timeline:

Applied ECA and Paid fees : 24-Nov-2016
Staus changed to Document Received - Review in progress :13-Dec-2016
Status Changed to Completed (got my electronic ECA Report) -17-Jan-2017 (20 working days)
Received hard copy (International Standard Mail) - 14-Feb-2017

So for me the complete WES process has taken 12 weeks. Considering the Christmas and New Year Holiday, and the use of standard mail, the process wasn't too bad. Just take a lot of patience.

For me Wes is taking more than 12 weeks. I had Christmas and holidays in between. Wes made a mistake in my name and they asked me to send all my documents again. It's the whole process all over again for me because of their mistake. For my wife, it was 12 weeks.

This is quite frustrating
CRS low scores are been taken in every draw since Jan

You don't need 10th and 12th. Rest all you mentioned is correct. I wouldn't recommend WES as they are awfully slow right now. If you haven't paid, opt for another company.

Are you sure about not having to submit 12th standard documents for WES ECA Canada Express Entry process ? I am currently facing the dilemma for 12th and Bachelor degree (BBA) from a college affiliated to Gujarat University. Let me know if you know anything on this. Thanks !

I am very sure you dont need 10th and 12th. You can shoot me if WES asks you for it.

I second that.. I also did not submitted my 10th and 12th. I just sent them bachelor degree transcripts
