Settlement in North Canada Program

I've heard there is a program for Settlement of North Canada, where goverment gives you the place to live in the North and you can stay there as a settler, but I cant find any info about it, does anyone know something about it?

About 100 years ago, there used to be immigration agents from Canada travelling around Europe to try to get people to immigrate. They would offer the farmers that they get a good chunk of land to farm, of course they usually forgot to say it was in a swamp or a forest

However, I think this time is gone. You can look at the NWT PNP here: http://www.iti.gov.nt.ca/businesseconomicdevelopment/nwtnomineeprogram.shtml and Yukon here: http://www.immigration.gov.yk.ca/ynp_overview.aspx I don't think Nunavut has a PNP
