I would like to start a new thread to gather people information applying for Citizenship in September 2015.

Application sent on Sept 14 2015

Application received by CIC - Sept 16 2015

Just received an AOR from CIC in the email

This is to acknowledge receipt of your application for Canadian Citizenship. Citizenship and Immigration Canada
(CIC) will review your application and supporting documents and will contact you if additional information is
required. When your application has been reviewed and has met basic eligibility, CIC will invite you to a
knowledge test, interview and/or ceremony, as applicable.

My Canadian Citizenship application was returned for the reason that my passport or travel document do not cover the 6 year period preceding the date of application. Here is a bit of the detail of what I have provided them: Photocopies of
Old passport: issued on 2007 and expired on 2012
New passport: issued on 2015 and will expire on 2020

There is a 3 year gap between my two passports. I did not leave Canada since I came on 2011. What other document should I submit to fill in the gap between my two passports? Please help. Thanks you.

Read the instruction guide, you need to provide a letter explaining the gap:

"3. Biographical page of passport(s)/travel document(s)

The biographical page means the page that has your name, photo, passport/travel document number, issue date and expiration date.

Provide photocopies of the biographical pages of all passports and/or travel documents (valid and cancelled) for the six (6) year period immediately before the date of your application, or since you became a permanent resident, whichever is more recent.

Also, provide photocopies of any renewal pages of the passport(s)/travel document(s).

Note: If your passports and/or travel documents have any gaps in the time they cover during the past six (6) years, or since you became a permanent resident, whichever is more recent, attach an explanation.

Note: If any of these documents are no longer in your possession, attach an explanation."
