If number of applications received showing CIC website is consists of only those applications which have received PER then why 500 applicants of NOC 1122 have not received PER till 20 of August because CIC announced cap of 1122 on 20 of August. On the other hand no body of 1122 received PER in August.

hello
GETTING CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP BECAME HARDER

In order to qualify for Canadian citizenship, Canadian Permanent Residents must have lived in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before applying. Applicants must be able to pass a multiple choice exam to determine their knowledge of Canadian history, values, institutions, symbols, and proficiency in one of Canada’s two official languages – English or French. However, these multiple choice exams do not properly assess an applicant’s listening and speaking skills.

If an applicant fails a written test, or if concerns arise regarding an applicant’s language abilities following interactions with CIC staff members, an interview with a citizenship judge is scheduled. This can be problematic as there can be a substantial delay between taking the test and seeing a citizenship judge. Furthermore, it is at the discretion of the citizenship judge to determine whether an applicant has a sufficient level of language proficiency.

CIC wants to require future applicants to demonstrate their language proficiency by providing objective evidence, such as proof of post-secondary education completed in English or French or sufficient results of a third party test, such as the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). CIC’s proposed change would not increase the level of language proficiency required, but rather how applicants prove their language ability. These changes would only be applicable to applicants ages 18-54.

Dear Jadeja or every other friends

In June 2011, they sent back my documents and say that the cap has been reached (NOC 2121). Of course I applied again in Sepember and waiting for results. But, does this mean that the completeness check about my application was ok? Does completeness chech happens before cap story?
Thanks

No it doesn't mean the the completeness check was done, it might even happened that they didn't even opened ur file. Wait for them to open ur file this time . check for the draft enchashment that u sent alongwith ur applicaiton. Draft encashment of $550, indicates completeness check and their satisfaction.
Plz remember one thing, after CIO completeness check, it will be the turn of Visa Office, to look into ur documents. and once visa office get satisfied u will be sent medicals and then at last visa.
So, long wait ahead, be regular to ur office and work overthere and tell the managers to answer about you, when the verification call reaches them. verification can be done by personal visit to ur workplace or a telephonic enquiry can be done.

I would be happy to help u and others on this forum.

Thanks

hello

On an average New Delhi Visa Office takes 10-12 months for finalising the cases. time calculated from the day application reached CIO, nova scotia.

When the rules got changed last year in july 2010, CIO took four monthsto encash the draft or to charge the applicants $550.
so, keep patience and be regular to workplace.

It just gives the figures about the application reached them and it doesn't mean that all those applicants are going to receive PER, many even receive NER and few receive their application back due to lack of certain documents like birth certificate.

it takes time for them to send applicants PER via mail or through regular post if the applicant has not mentioned his or her email ID.

Majority of the applicants last year received PER ater 4 months. so, wait dear for ur turn.

Dear All,
Below is the response of CIC to one of the forum member who applied 2 years ago;

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your enquiry.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed. Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Yours sincerely,

After reading this letter it is clear that we, who applied after June 2010, are lucky as our case will process faster than those who applied between Feb 2008 to June 2010.
SO in some way or other we are LUCKY :) isnt it?

regards
Roposh

Hello guys, please comment on the below update by CIC on their website....

Total complete applications received since July 1, 2011

On July 1, 2011, the eligibility criteria for Federal Skilled Worker applicants changed.

Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, a maximum of 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.

Starting November 5, 2011, CIC will accept a total of 1,000 applications from international students who have completed at least two years of study towards a PhD and or who graduated from a Canadian PhD program in the 12 months before the date their application is received by CIC. Find out more about eligibility for this category or see the number of applications received to date on this site.

These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment (job offer).

Applications received toward the overall cap: 2,983 of 10,000 as of October 31, 2011

*The number of complete Federal Skilled Worker applications received as of October 31, 2011 is approximate.

**Once the cap has been reached, we can only accept applications for this occupation from people with an existing offer of arranged employment.

Note: Due to the high volume of applications we receive, the CIO cannot review each application for completeness on the same day it arrives at the office. The numbers on this page are updated at least once a week, but these figures are meant as a guide only. There is no guarantee that an application sent in now will fall within the cap by the time it reaches the CIO. We are looking into ways to minimize the effect of this on website updates.

Applications received from PhD applicants:

Applications received toward the overall cap: 0 of 1,000 as of November 5, 2011
