As far as I know, the "official" date is 1st August.

Yes, you will face long que ahead of you. This does affect your chance, but does not ruin it completely. People do get visa in your situation. It is upto you if you wanna take the risk or not.

Yes you can do that. But if your school allows only one deferral, then it becomes your last chance for current acceptance letter. If you try for September and get rejected, you will still have a second chance. If your school allows successive deferrals, January 2018 seems more reasonable to me. Afterall first chance is the best chance. Just my opinion though. Wait for others to comment.

I'll be also applying visa in late July. I will take the risk as there are no pg courses available in January related to my field which is Tv and film making.

Hi I haven't applied yet, same College too and the same intake. September 2017. I don't think it will be a problem though.

It took me 18 days exactly to receive the Un-Conditional Offer Letter.

Sorry, it's not 18 days. It took me 21 days. I applied on 3rd May, 2017 and received the Offer Letter on 24th May, 2017. My course is Post-Graduate Certificate in Global Business Management.

I applied for Jan-18 online through Centellial college's website and sent the docs,
but later I came to knew that we have to print out the application form fill it out and send it to Bangalore@centennialcollege.ca with the supporting documents, isn't it so?
or we have directly from the centennial's portal?
How u applied?
