Dear Friends,

I am a Pakistani national. I am living in Saudi Arabia.

As you know, Pakistan is included in the SDS stream. So, I wanted to know, is it mandatory to apply via SDS. Or one can apply through the regular process.

What is the preferred method? As I have seen on this forum that the rejection rate through SDS is also fairly high.

I am expecting to receive an admission letter from Memorial University.

It's not necessary to apply through SDS. It is, however, the preferred and faster method.

Thank you for the reply and suggestion.

Do you have any idea about this?
If the visa is refused, in how much time, one will get his tuition fee and GIC funds back.

Thanking you in advance.

That depends on the institution and the bank. You can expect 4-8 weeks.
Thank you.
I was really wondering about it as I will have to start visa processing in Saudi Arabia. And there is every possibility that after 4-6 months, my contract will end. That's why I am planning to prepare for the processing proactively.

Anyway, I appreciate your comments. I will try to get some additional information once I have the admission letter in hand.

Dear Faraz,

I have received the admission letter from Memorial University. Besides the deposit amount, I have to submit the 16,000 CAD. However, in the Minimum Expense form, it is written that the fee is non-refundable. So, what do you think if the visa is rejected, will the amount go into the waste?

Please guide me. Thank you.
