Scanning Police Clearance

Hi we just received an email from Dar es Salaam requesting a new medical and police clearance. It is a little confusing because it says to email everything altogether to avoid delays. But it also says that if an original copy is asked for then it has to be mailed. So if an original copy is scanned and emailed would that qualify? Because if the Medicals have to be emailed ( which they do) and the clearance has to be mailed, how are you to submit them altogether? It's a confusing email! Anyone else out there that has dealt with this?

why not do both? scan and upload and then mail them off?

im pretty sure you need to send originals of police certs but no harm sending and emailing.
