So I finally found out why my application was taking long and it was the dreaded eligibility review required even though it doesn't say anything in myCIC, I phoned and they told me.

I realized a couple of weeks ago through this forum I missed a couple of documents relating to my duties for some of my work experience however I had put in contracts and everything else needed. I submitted those documents and got an email 5 days later saying they were received. Is there anything else I can do?

The CIC agent said they emailed Ottawa on March 15th and they have 30 days to respond to them saying they need something extra or what is going on why its taking so long. They said first part of my background check is done.

Its sad I just think my application will just get rejected now. Knowing my luck they won't even bother to call the numbers on the letters or contract or contact me to obtain more documents. One of the companies in my work experience I worked for 8 months doesn't exist anymore it shut down in December 2018 so I have no way of getting anymore info from them. I might ask my colleague to write a summary email or something then submit that. But I think too little too late. I know I have nobody to blame but myself for this mistake.

I am from England, AOR September 5th 2018. No updates since Medicals Passed and Eligibility changed to in progress.

I wrote this post to advise others to make sure to send in all documents required check so carefully and also ask if I have any chance of getting PPR now? :(

Provide an LOE and explain the situation as honestly as you can if you know the reason for your RR
RR cases take time and a huge load of patience but eventually you will get the PPR...usually it takes 8-13 months

You did the right thing, you found out why you were in review required and you acted on it, now they have everything they need and so once they are satisfied and if the documents you sent in are correct you should be fine. However do be warned that review required adds alot of time to your process, I am in RR along with others and we submitted at the end of July. Nearing 9 months for me but RR are starting to move. In short, expect another 3 months wait on top of your 6 month mark.

Regarding your company that shutdown, show all your payslips, tax documents, show their website, show any email you got notifying you of the company closing down. Just think of it as you need to prove to the officer that the company existed, companies come and go, the visa officers know this and will take all things into consideration

Thanks I am going to right a letter and submit it also explaining. Our bridging work permit is valid until November so hopefully it pulls through before then I am over 7 months and waiting now. I also have an immigration specialist looking into the case.
