Hello,

My father has been issued a Multiple-entry visitor visa and is planning to travel from India to Canada in mid Dec 2021. I wanted to book a return ticket for him dated 1st June 2022 so that he can stay with me for close to 6 months. Do you think it would cause any concern at the immigration in Canada or India ? At the time of application he had mentioned 2 months stay but then by the time his application has been approved , the dates have passed by due to the delay in processing and hence the change in the plans.
I could book an earlier ticket and later on reschedule it but my worry is that the immigration officer might stamp a date according to the early return ticket and that way he wont be able to stay for 6 months.

Can someone please advise.

When I applied for my aunt, I remember putting 1 month for her stay on the form. . But when I booked her ticket, It was for 6 months. I don't think it will be a problem. She came here twice already... and it's always 6 months stay.
