Residency obligation for citizenship in canada

Dear Sir
I become PR in August 2015 and prior to that I visited Canada on Tourist Visa and later on Supervisa.
As I was told that previous Govt was considering half of stay in Canada with ceiling of 365 days. Can you advise me as to whether I can claim half of my stay with son as Visitor and Later on Supervisa maximum 365 days,

Hi,
If your visiting visa was during the last five years you can claim that time and each day will be counted as half day up to maximum of 365 days. So if you stayed on temporary basis more than two years, only one year will be counted for you. Wish you all luck!

So, you count days in a 5 year window preceding the day of your citizenship application. That is, assume you will file for citizenship on 1/1/2018, you can only count days from 1/1/2013 to 1/1/2018 with the 0.5 day rule for the period before being a PR. In other words, forget about any time you spent in Canada that is more than 5 years ago at the day of you apply for citizenship. Good Luck!

Based on these calculations you are not eligible to apply for the next year... 2011 is out of the equation (falls outside of 5 years).

Based on my calculations, if you do not travel at all outside of Canada from now on, you will reach 1095 days of presence on 4th October 2018, and therefore eligible to apply on the following day.
