Renounce or not to renounce PR status

Hello there

I made a mistake by declaring my partner as non-accompanying on my EE application. Now, I landed alone and I can only sponsor my partner. Inland or outland, both seem a bit unrealistic at the moment. Just wanted to get some insights from those, who have probably been in a similar situation. Once renounced, I would need to reapply via EE again. Thanks.

That's really a personal decision that you have to make. If you are confident that you are likely to get a second ITA, then go for it. If not, then go through the sponsorship route even if you don't like it. I know people how have renounced their PR and were able to reapply and get approved with no issues. I also know others who took the risk but haven't received another ITA yet due to the recent rise in the cut-off thresholds. So, it is all up to your personal choice. Good Luck!
