Hello,

I'm in the process of Canada immigration & already completed all basic things. The particulars are as follows.

WES Completed.
IELTS Training Completed. Will appear for the GT exam in Sep 2020.

Now, throughout the sources, I just understood that my CRS score won't go above 411/420. The point calculations are available made & it is almost 90% true.

The factors:

I'm the primary applicant.
Age: Turning 40 on this 16/09/2020.
Education: Double Degree (Diploma & Graduate In Compters/Information Technology) (WES Says that)
Relative: Brother In Law is a Canadian citizen.
IELTS: Expecting 7777 in each section in Sep 2020.
Work Experience: 10 years of full time in an IT field.

Wife: Graduate with 3 years of full-time work experience. She isn't appearing for IELTS & WES.

Now, to improve/increase my CRS Score, I believe PNP is the only possible option. Isn't that correct?

Someone also told me to learn/educate yourself in AI/ML/DS (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/Data Science) which will be in high demand in Canada very soon.

My questions are:
Is that a good idea to appear & clear AI/ML/DS?
Is Canadian work permit is possible? Where to apply & what are the fees? It there any site which provides a legitimate employer list to whom I contact?
Which PNP is good for IT (Information Technology Domain), especially for Linux, Cloud, Information Security & Data Centre Specialist?

Below are the NOC numbers in which I'm a perfect fit.
Sr. No.NOCTitleSkill Level/Type
10213Computer and information systems managers0
22147Computer Engineers (Except software engineers & designers)A
32171Information Systems Analyst and ConsultantsA
52281Computer Network TechniciansB

I'm just doing all stuff on my own without any agent/Canadian immigration consultant. So, would it be great to hire a good consultant? If yes, how to find IRCC approved consultants with their approx charges?

You don't need a consultant. Your wife should take the IELTS and get an ECA as you are leaving points on the table otherwise.

Canadian work permit is a possibility, but I wouldn’t bet on it given the current circumstances. Canada would look to employ its locals first before hiring internationally, regardless of the discipline.

Most of PNPs require Canadian work experience, however Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) and Prince Edward Island PNP are the ones I can think of that do not require Canadian work experience. You should look into those and calculate your scores for each.

Other things you can do:

Get a Master’s degree. It’ll increase your score for both SINP and PEI PNP.

Improve IELTS score.

Regardless, even PNP has slowed down in Canadian provinces because of the unemployment spike due to the outbreak of COVID.

Can anyone suggest how to initiate Canadian work permit, while you're outside of Canada?

Find an employer willing to sponsor you. This will range from extremely difficult to impossible depending on if you have in-demand skills.

I’m afraid that contacting Canadian employers, mailing your resume with cover letter won’t make any sense for me to get LMIA or Work Permit.

Just giving example of BC Tech Pilot program, where employers don't require LMIA. If I understand LMIA term correctly, A Canadian employers can contact & hire foreign workers directly by giving job offer. Then, candidate needs to apply for work permit & once approved, fly to Canada to work.

Now, I’m going to apply for Canada EE points & assuming that my CRS Score would be in between 408–414 max. It means, very slim chances to get ITA because the last cut off is 479.

You don’t believe but I’m sending 10–15 mails daily to Canadian IT employers, registered on WORKBC, but not even a single response received yet.

I really don’t understand why they don’t entertain qualified immigrants despite of non-requirement of LMIA in British Columbia.

Now, I've just presumed that similar situation for SINP too.

My BAD.
