i am a convention refugee. can i get refugee travel document and travel to other country?

Has a decision been made on your case or has it been deemed worthy of consideration and you are now waiting for a hearing. What't the rush to travel? CIC might view this negatively.

Only those with a positive IRB decision in regards to their claim = protected status are eligible to apply for the travel document. So put your wedding plans on hold ideally until after you have PR status.

Don't bother to apply for the Travel Document because it wont be granted.Patiently wait until you have a positive hearing before taking the step to apply. Good luck!

Current Passport Canada quoted time is 20 business days but from anectodal evidence nearer to 3 months.
