reference letters

I have a copy of my contract which contains the company letterhead and job title/salary information and another attachment which contains the job duties; this portion does NOT contain company letterhead. I really don't want to get a reference letter written as it is a lot of hassle. is what i have good enough?? how can i validate the part containing the description that doesn't have the letter head?
