Recommended banks for newcomers

Have a question from those who relocated to Canada in the last few years, which bank would the recommend for newcomers- recommendations based on customer service, anything special for newly landed immigrants, credit cards etc. also if you transferred any equities and how easy that process was from a foreign institution.

sorry if my request is a bit vague Or generalized but any personal experiences/opinions would be great.

Each bank has it own's merits and demerits, the one that suits your requirements would be best for you. People generally have a look at RBC, TD, Scotiabank, CIBC, BMO .

Thanks for your reply. Yea, I absolutely agree with you in regards to each bank being good at certain aspects of banking. Was just curious if the forum members had any particular recommendations or warnings based on their personal experiences.
