My mother is about to go through the process (inland) and doesn't feel comfortable doing the process on her own and wishes to use the services of an Immigration Consultant. I also used a consultant, and my experiences have been pretty disappointing to say the least. Granted, the consultant did put together the application properly, but her communication was extremely poor, often going two weeks without responding to questions until I called up to speak with her or followed up 2-3 more times to get a response.

So, has anyone had positive experiences and wish to recommend an immigration consultant in the Greater Toronto Area? If possible, for one in Mississauga or west of it like in Milton, Guelph, Kitchener etc.

look for Green Mendel there. Have a lot about him, he is one of the top immigration lawyers in Canada. Though he is really good but his fees is really high too. Here is his biography:
Mr. Green is a member of the Ontario Bar and is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law. In 1974, Mr. Green was appointed Queen’s Counsel. The Canadian LEXPERT Legal Directory has pointed out that Mendel Green is considered “the dean of immigration by Canada’s Immigration Bar” and referred to him as a ”leading Toronto immigration practitioner, most frequently recommended.” Mr. Green has been named as a leading Canadian Corporate Immigration Attorney in the Who’s Who Legal of Corporate Immigration, as well as selected by The Best Lawyers in Canada editions for the specialty of Immigration Law.

your mothr is very wise!. Im afraid Imm Consultants will take your money, tell you about their high success rates. Pretty much the same with Lawyers. The bottom line. It is up to the VO who will determine the outcome. I have seen many strong cases fail and many win. Its a tough call ! Good luck

If you can do it on your own better yet than hire somebody to do it for you... because if you have a concultant or lawyer any communication will not go directly to you and sometime they are delayed in informing you about the situation but if you want try this david cohen law office they will charge you 2k and to open the case $ 500.

with all due respect....I have gone thorugh the process including appeal in Toronto. Honestly, I could NOT have done it wothout the assistance of my Imm. consultant.

I can tell you, everytime I got a letter from Immigration, it was followed by Imm consultants phone call. Having said that......if I ever have to go through this horrible process again, I know I will do it on my own and save the $ 7.000.00
