Hello,

My wife received her spousal sponsorship visa to enter Canada by the due date but due to unexpected cocumstamces she did not enter and now we are planning to settle back in Pakistan.

Do we need to explain this to or notify cic?
Will they refund any amount?
Will this effect future decisions they make on any of our applications? (As in negatively)

Thank you

As she didn't become a PR, you can request a refund for the RPRF.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/fees/refunds/rprf.asp

Refunds will be granted in all cases where the Right of Permanent Residence Fee has been paid and the applicant has not acquired permanent resident status.
