No it's never too late to inform the VO....why don't u have those letters? Can u at least provide a letter on company letterhead and give the contact person of say, the HR, in ur new company in case the VO wishes to verify ur new employment...

Make an attempt to at least obtain some sort of official document, else the VO might find it suspicious...
coz in my country,Iran , usually the first 2 months is probational time , The company did not give me a copy of contract ,and they won't if they find out I've applied for immigration ! they hire employees who are willing to work for at least 2 years , that's the reason I don't have any proof ...

are you sure reference letter is no longer required?

Hi Friends

I am adding my spouse as dependent and as asked by Warsaw VO I am sending my spouse's application to Warsaw VO. Should I get the DD of CAD 550 made as payable to "The Receiver General of for Canada" or it has to be payable to some other name?

Could someone please share a cover letter for addition of spouse to the application?

Thanks a lot.

Regards

You have already passed the MR stage, that means ur eligibility check is satisfied...:)..The original reference letter (with the old experience) that you submitted has been used to satisfy the eligibility check...So this means u will not be asked to submit a ref. letter containing job duties again...Since ur past the MR stage, this also means that ur BGC has also been 99% completed..At this stage, the only things pending are Security and Criminality Check and Final review...

I suggest, since you have already waited this long, wait till the end of ur probation period until u become a full-time employee, then if u get a letter from ur new co., raise a CSE and attach that letter in a CSE informing them of ur new employment...this is not going to affect ur file in any way...

hey i see people here sharing their preferred mode of carrying POF. some of them suggesting forex card, my doubt is- how can u convince the immigration officer that you have sufficient balance in your card by just showing it? i mean there is no written guaranty etc.
i m carrying demand draft + one months expenses as cash. as draft may take a while sometime to get clearance.

There's a person who paid processing fees for baby using the online link, I don't see why you can't pay for ur spouse using that same link...See below->

Hi,

On my email query to CVO...they instructed me to pay the fee using the same link that was shared for RPRF..!!
Also I have read one post in some other thread where there was a specific reply on a CSE raised.

Below is the procedure.

Go to https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/disclaimer.do
Accept terms & on the next page click on "Immigration". <<In family class>>
Put 1 against "Family member of the principal applicant who is under 19 years of age, unmarried and not in a common-law relationship OR is 19 years of age or older who has been unable to be financially self-supporting since before the age of 19 due to a physical or mental condition" and proceed for payment.

I have done the same yesterday and have got MR today for my son..!! ATB.. :)
In ur case, the category would be "Spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner"...

krish09 said:
Absolutely perfect....u have hit the bull's eye... :p :p

Also while searching for more info on this, I came across the below FAQs on their official webpage. (Q. No.-7)
https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/faq.do#Q7

This says that it is fine if the payment is made in wrong category provided the amount paid is correct. :)

Hope this will be helpful to u. ATB.

Hi All,

Congratulations to all who got their VISA and best wishes to other applicants.

I got my VISA last month under FSW 1112 and preparing now to land in Toronto. I still have unfinished business in India and would like to return to wrap-up and finally go there. I have few questions here:

1) Can i go there just for landing purpose and come back?
2) How many days should I plan to apply and get my PR card and return?
3) Is there a set timeline I have to follow on this? (Please provide link if available)
4) Does it cause any harm to my application?

Would really appreciate if someone answer these queries?

Thanks & Regards

Current timeline is 46 Calendar Days- >http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp
If ur unable to stay this long, you can return back but u need to provide a friend/ relative's Canadian permanent address who can receive the Card and forward it to you

3) Is there a set timeline I have to follow on this? (Please provide link if available)

Refer above
4) Does it cause any harm to my application?

No harm at all- lots of ppl do this....
Would really appreciate if someone answer these queries?

Thanks & Regards
Congrats to you- happy landing!!! :)

Finally landed in Canada (Toronto, Pearson airport) on 18th may 12:00 PM.

Procedure seems pretty straight forward.

1) Once you landed, you will proceed directly to the Immigration Center. They will check your Passport and Landing documents (COPR).

2) From there you will be forwarded to the newcomer section, where they will note down everything. It will take about 10-15 minutes. And also they will keep Copy of COPR (With Photo) and second copy will be attached to your passport for future reference. please keep this copy with you all the time as it will require for every single items.i.e SIN, Opening Bank account, Library card etc..I landed on Monday and it was holiday so i couldn't get SIN. Otherwise you will get your SIN only at airport. Also, officer will ask for the address where you are intended to stay. This is require for PR card.

3) Collect your luggage and at last they will ask you for any items to be followed. They didn't ask for B4 or any copy of that. But i have declared that i am carrying more than 10k CAD. So they just filled up one form and asked my son to stamp on it ;) ;) ;)

That's it. And one more point, if you are carrying more luggage, Porter will be there to help you but they will charge you $22 for their service and also have to pay the tip to Porter. I though it was free service and i had to pay $22 + Tip

Second Day:

I went to the Service Canada center for applying SIN for all of us. They will ask for passport and Landing documents. Enter the ZIP Code where you are staying and you will get list of nearby Service Canada Center.

On the same day, i opened the bank account with couple of banks. There are few deals going on in TD and RBC bank but understand the terms and condition for proceeding further.

Third Day:

Went to the library and got the library card instantly. Also, got the new SIM Card. I have got Micromax mobile from India and it is compatible with Fido and Chatr and it's working like a charm. I have asked the person and he said Samsung Galaxy S3 and S4 will work fine as well. I am not sure about other mobile phones. The plan that i buy is for unlimited talking across Canada, 1GB of Data. And it cost me about $50 per month. More plans listed below.

http://www.fido.ca/web/page/portal/Fido/MonthlyPlans?gclid=Cj0KEQjwhPaqBRDG2uiHzpKLi6ABEiQAk_XXibi4bBSKv66LP4kWPQOGiIGK7Meu71cC8sUbZvyhaggaAvSZ8P8HAQ

I am not sue everyone is aware about that but if you have a Child then please register at nearest center. So, you will get $500 Child Tax benefit every month. It will take about 2-3 months but money will be credited directly to your account. But once you get the job, amount will be decrease as well.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I will be happy to answer at my level best.
