This means passport with CHC and VFS knows nothing...

GCMS = Global Case Management System.
It's the interface used by Canada immigration to track and record a file processing electronically.
Each stage, file movement, comment of the officer and the decisions taken at each step get recorded in it.

We as applicants can ask for GCMS extracts to understand what's happening with out file. The request takes 30 days to be fulfilled and the extract is until the 1st day of the request made.

Very often I am seeing "GCMS ". What does this stand for and what is its significance?

1. A friend got his PPR (2 identical emails) on 20th March ... passports submitted on 23rd ............ received another email (PPR) on 25th March. Happened with anybody else here?

2. My destination in COPR is Halifax. Will be landing in Edmonton. No worries with that........... but how can i provide an address of Halifax for PR Card when i dont know anybody there or where i'll end up staying there (or whether i'll even go there or not)?

1. Yes. Exactly the same thing. 2 identical mails - one from Delhi Immigration and 1 from Mahinder Makhija. One again on 25th from Delhi Immigration

In how much time (days) did you get your VISA back after submission?

Hey but its usually a yes after this stage or they can deny as well....

If you've got a DM after Medicals, its a YES! 100%

Unless you have concealed any travel history, which they eventually discover in the passport when you submit originals :|

I got it on 7th day after submission. but my friend hasnt got it yet.... its been 9 days.

MR PCC RPRF: December 31 and Jan 1
MR done : Jan 2
RPRF: Jan 9
Medicals have been Received: Feb 16
Passport Request: March 16
Passport Received CIC: March 20
Xpress post Activated: March 30

Still waiting for passports. Hope this helps
