Its amazing how such a small country like Singapore and S. Korea could be a economic force to reckon with. Singapore Airline say for example, astounding. No wonder with so much wealth at disposal the government would encourage shopping to shopping vulnerable people lol. At least i am hard to be persuaded and pleased about it lol. You better stay away from malls as the shopping season intensifies in couple of weeks time lol :p
Yeah, I love Singapore the way it is, a first world country just 3-hours away from home :)

I'll try to follow your advice but if CIC will continue with one draw per month, I might end up being a shopaholic again :p:eek:

A newbie post! I like it!
Check my signature and show me that :( face again

According to my prediction, you have a good chance in the next draw.
I will not even say anything to that post. Taking a higher road this time. Exhausted from all the explanations why sky is not falling and it's not the end of the world.

Feeling sorry for you mate. Yes you can create your new profile. Read these threads, lots of seniors are here helping uncondionally and you can also search videos on YouTube ( use keywords like creating EE profile ) and above all, read cic website to get updated and authentic information. And finally there are whatsapp groups as well. Join one it and enjoy free service and then in return help others

Thankyou reye, honestly have been following the ray of hope thread since early this year but I guess somewhere there was a challenge created in my mind that it's a difficult process and only lawyers or consultants can do it and my chances seemed slim. This forum actually has been an eye opener .

Yeah i did rite, lol. I had to turn down the offer cos they wanted me to be involved with selling it like practically shop to shop. I have passed that stage. Now i can't be selling vodkas during our big trip to my lovely friends eh hahaha. But i will make sure i have something else to drink, like i mentioned in the earlier posts, JD or JW ;)

I know exactly what you mean about going on this journey with the people here. I've been trying to move to Canada for many years, some years more seriously than others. But since I've found the people on this forum it's like I now have people to share that excitement with. People to encourage me when I'm down. People who understand why we would put ourselves, and our families, through such a test of endurance.

I've had a love affair with Canada since I first went there in 96 and I've been back lots of times for work since. But this pull to Canada is most definitely from me and not my wife. She is happy to go because she knows how much I want to live there and she and the kids have been there with me for a long period in 2013. She does really like it there, but it's my dream, not hers.

I know why I want to live there. There are plenty of pull factors and a few push factors from here. The weather - even the winters. The culture. The multicultural nature of the people. The employment prospects for my children. In the UK we are lucky in that we have a great education and health care system the same as Canada, but Canada doesn't have the same sectarianism as we have in Northern Ireland.

My wife keeps asking me for my number one reason why I want to move and leave the good life, nice house and well paid job I have here. It's really hard to put my finger on it, but I genuinely feel happier when I'm there. Maybe it's the bright blue skies - yes even in the winter. Maybe it's that I feel that the children will grow up with a brighter future there outside our sectarian country.

Can I ask others to tell me what's the number one reason why they want to move to Canada? Is anyone else having to convince their partners to make the move and if so what's their approach?
Fortunately, I do not need to convince my "partner" since I got her full support even before embarking on this journey of a lifetime. I want to put the blame to Disney, or to Elsa and Anna. Yes folks, the sisters from the famous movie Frozen! (You missed half of your life if you haven't watched this ) After seeing her first full-length movie on the big screen, she can't let go of her dream of becoming an ice princess and the mom as ice queen :) A mother's dream long time ago is now the child's ultimate dream and as her mother, I will do everything in my power to grant her wish ;)

Aside from the pull factors Shaun mentioned, I got deeper reasons why I am moving to Canada but I do not want to make the tough guys cry with my story, so I will keep them to myself for the time being until we see each other in Yukon. ;)

But recreating profile is only useful when Ontario is open to nomination. They have put it on hold so no benefit of recreating profile.
True it's helpful if the nominations are open. my consultant doesn't help at the time either. They don't communicate if it's open. I find out from various discussions and forums.

Just my opinion though that if the profile has been sitting idle for too long, no harm recreating it.

Friends.....I have experience letter from a Dental college where i was working which mentions my designation as 'Senior Lecturer/Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon' in Dept of Oral and Maxillofaical Surgery. It also mentions the usual clinical duties performed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in clinic (4 lines in detail matching CIC keywords) and duties performed by senior lecturer as academician (6 lines). 'Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (Dental Specialist) comes under NOC 3113. I have applied under NOC 3113. Is it OK or I will be facing some problem?? Need urgent suggestion.

harsh times for ray of hope .
There is no such thing as harsh time when it comes to hope! There are just lessons and patience. Things come our way when the time is best for them to come. Everything happens when it has to happen and nothing can undo that. Just have faith, it will come for sure. It's just the matter of time. :) Stay strong!
