If u r qualified w CEC, u dont even need to show ur relatives. U can prove ur ties like study, work
However, if u r FSW, then it may b a must.
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately we're FSW, hence the need to show ties...so we're wondering whether someone had ever received Ontario PNP by listing a friend as their social tie instead of relative. Wouldn't want to spend $1500 if our chances are low

For FSW points, you cannot claim points for friends to get 67/100.
However, you can use friends in your intention letter.
ps: Use the oinp trackers, and u can see some of them still get nominations w/o relatives.

Age doubt.....
----------------

Hi, I read some discussion regarding completion of 30years and lose of CRS points. Kindly help me on something.. :/

1. I born on 5th March 1988. Now I am 29. When I will lose the points? I heard somewhere that it will be on completion of 29.5 years. Is it correct? Or it will be on 4th March 2018?

2. How many points I will loose at that point...? ???

--------------------------------------

CRS: 445.
CLB 9
Waiting for ITA.

I have my score 431. I applied this through an agent. Is there any possibility for him to use fake LMIA for the application. Is the LMIA verified before enter the application into pool ?

You lose 5 points on exact date, so should be 5th March.

Why would you want to use a fake LMIA?? Why jeopardise a good chance of getting through without a hitch?

They absolutely verify the LMIA, and would find out immediately if it's fake.

431 is a very good score, you will probably receive ITA in a month - if not in the next draw. Don't consider drastic and potentially illegal options.

Even I have this issue, I turned 29 on 20th Feb, and my CRS score was and is still at 433, it hasn't changed yet, when I asked my lawyer she said it reduces after 35, so I am confused, people in this forum are saying it reduces automatically after 48 hours but in my case more than a month has passed and the score is still at 433.....

Do I need to change something manually ?

No I do not wanna use fake LMIA. I need to verify my agent use a LMIA which not valid. He has submitted a LMIA and I dont know whether it is valid. I wanna know whether they check the validity of the LMIA before entering the pool.

Guys, it seems there has been a lot of activity around the PNP categories.

According to an article on canadavisa, the Western Provinces have been quite active:

British Columbia carried out 2 draws, one on March 8th (377 ITAs) and the other on 22nd (437 ITAs).
Not all of these were through the Express Entry though.

Manitoba carried out a draw on March 16th with 313 ITAs being given out, however, only 63 were given to Skilled Worker Overseas Category which is aligned with Express Entry.

Alberta has also given around 1300 ITAs so far this year.

Even though I sincerely hope not, but due to this the scores might go up during the next draw - if even by a little.

Might also explain the delay in conducting draws (in addition to the budget submission).

At present you have 110 points for being 29. The day you turn 30, it will be 105. The day you turn 31, it will be 99 and 5 points for each passing year. You loose points for age after 35 is for initial FSW eligibility, that is, 67/100. For now you are grand!
