If the cut-off will be 480+ in the future draws then I don't quite get CIC policy. As far as I see they want to bring more people with high human capital that's why they dropped points from job offer. So what's the point of this if the scores will be even higher than before?

Sitting at 459 and hoping to get ITA by March 2017.

Good luck to everyone!

I found an interesting phenomenon in this forum: the longer we wait for the next draw, the more negative the atmosphere is. I don't know if I'm the only one feel this or if I'm wrong.

I guess that's because the anxiety of unknown future. So, let's just continue our current life and wait for the next draw, don't be affected by what others said. After all, no one can know the result of the draw until it's published.

Good luck for everyone who is waiting for an ITA.
Here it is the big unknown. Until recently we already had some idea just how the CRS is spreaded. With new changes and points, it is really hard to estimate the impact. Sure, that will be much much less applicants with 600+ points (PNP only) but at the same time, certain points groups will be much stronger. Hence the uncertainity and the fear of CRS going too high.

Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to say: it's very hard to estimate the impact of the new changes for the whole pool, because no matter how hard we tried to collect the EOI information of each applicant in this forum (or somewhere else), we have to admit that we only get some information fragments about the pool. None of us can know the exact points distribution until CIC publish the report. The voice echoes on the internet actually doesn't have much meaning. We just confirm our anxiety over and over again. Or more accurately, confirm our hope at the beginning and anxiety at the end of each waiting cycle...

I don't anticipate a huge drop to be honest, we have to keep in mind the points increase as well as the skipped 2 draws for skilled worker, i anticipate the score to be above 495 and to stay above 480 until at least mid february. We also have to look at the trend of number of invites which will def drop from 2500 to the former trend of 1000 as soon as 2017 hits, and with the only 2 points drops when the invites were that high, if the number of invites drops then the score will skyrockets or hover at the same. I honestly do not think it will go any lower than 465 ever. But one can hope tho, best of luck everyone.
I think the volume of ITAs will be higher than 2016 as the backlog is resolved.

Don't worry guys!! We will be ok. Just trust and believe in God! The scores are projected to decrease for the next draw.
Which God/deity should I choose? Who will have the total power over IRCC? is North America the territory of Jesus? can I pray to Odin or Shiva?

Is it really a "phenomenon"? or just an ordinary thing with humans?

However, you can try to call IRCC to get some internal secret info, if you are lucky.

cut off will remain around 480 for next 4-5 months. seems like there are high density of candidates around 480. If they continue to deliver around 2500 ITA every draw then that density might drop a bit. But I have a feeling that this will not be the case. 2017 will reopen many PNP with increased quota on their hand and so PNP candidates will be more for every draw and that will boost up the cut off score again. so gone are the days of 470 cutoff. Have fun.

Well, what about us atheists? I guess I just have to be hopeful and continue to do what I can do. As far as I am concerned, we have each other! So all's good!

A little off topic but I still see my CIC account is showing a blank in the field of CRS - Canadian Education. This is supposed to show 0. Anybody else experiencing this?

Hello ovi

It takes a little while for the update to be made (roughly 24 hours) but in order for the change to be initiated you need to answer the questions below (if you haven't done so already)

For this question, answer: YES
Was this degree, diploma or certificate:
•from a public post-secondary school, such as a college, trade/technical school, university or CEGEP (in Quebec)
•from a private post-secondary school that operates under the same rules as public schools
•a diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) or an attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP) earned through a qualifying study program of at least 900 hours from a private school in Quebec, or
•a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree from a Canadian private school that can legally award degrees under provincial law. (The student must have been enrolled in a study program that led to a degree as set out by the province.)

and then enter the Designated Learning Institution (DLI) number for your institution of learning for the question below
What is the Designated Learning Institution (DLI) number of the school?

But then again if you did answer the questions like this already then don't worry. The changes will appear 24 hours from the time you made the changes.

Can someone give me some encouragement that if I don't get 8+ on my listening section of IELTS on sat (and go up to 471 points) that I can just retake it and everything will be fine?.... flipping between the confidence of a native speaker and terrified that, like last time, I'm going to forget English.
