Intake guidelines

Overall intake maximum

Between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2015, AINP will accept between 1,500 and 3,500 total new applications.

At any point within this range, AINP reserves the right to stop taking new applications. This will be based on labour market needs, total applications received and nominations still available to be issued in the calendar year.

Sector intake maximum

Within this overall intake maximum in 2015, a maximum of 700 new applications per sector will be accepted.

As soon as AINP receives 700 new applications in a single sector, it will stop taking new applications in that sector.

Occupation intake maximum

Within this sector intake maximum in 2015, a maximum of 400 new applications per occupation (NOC code) will be accepted.

As soon as AINP receives 400 new applications within a single occupation (NOC code), it will stop taking new applications in that occupation.

Applications submitted after any of the above maximums have been reached in 2015 will be returned to the applicants.

Please note, some sectors and occupations have already reached their maximums in 2015. The occupations are included in the Ineligible Occupations List. If your occupation is not listed, you may apply. Review the Selection Guidelines to determine you meet the requirements to be considered eligible for a nomination.

List of sectors and occupations at maximum capacity
( back to top )
Nomination guidelines

After satisfying both intake guidelines and selection guidelines, your application is also subject to the following nomination guidelines.

All AINP applications will first be ordered by date received. AINP will then assess an application based on the following three guidelines, whichever comes first:

AINP will stop assessing applications for a sector as soon as 650 applicants have been nominated within that sector;
AINP will stop assessing applications for an occupation within a sector as soon as 300 applicants have been nominated within that occupation; AND,
AINP will stop assessing applications as soon as 5,500 applicants have been nominated, which is the maximum number of nomination certificates that the AINP is allowed by CIC to issue in 2015.
If you do not receive a decision in 2015, then the AINP has reached its nomination maximum overall, the maximum for your sector or the maximum for your occupation.

there is not process time any more, if you can't get nomination in 2015, the reason will be one of three : 1.AINP has reached its nomination maximum overall 2. the maximum for your sector 3. the maximum for your occupation.
