Hi, it states that i will require at least 1 year continuous full time work, in the categories O A,B etc

Can this work experience be in more than one type of job, or does it all have to be in the one?
Thankyou for any help!

Though you mention all your activities/jobs since the age of 18, your application will be processed only under one NOC code that is eligible as FSW.

Sorry guys, you are mistaken on this one. There has been a recent clarification on this:

Check the Operational Bulletin 173 – January 8, 2010 Ministerial Instructions - Clarification on continuous full-time experience and break in continuity of employment

It says you CAN have the full-time experience in multiple NOCs as long as those NOCs are in the 38 jobs list. Yes, you can be a cook and an IT manager or pilot. It reads

"Effective immediately, the requirement of having at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the last ten years in “one or more” NOC code in the MI means that an SW1 applicant may use any combination of full-time or part-time work experience in more than one eligible NOC category in the last 10 years in calculating their one year of continuous work experience, as long as their experience adds up to at least one year.

For example, an SW1 applicant would be eligible under the MI if they had 7 months of full-time (or equivalent) work experience in NOC 6242 immediately followed by 10 months full-time (or equivalent) work experience in NOC 6241 in the last 10 years. Experience accumulated in each NOC counts towards calculating one year of continuous experience. It is not necessary for the NOCs to be in related occupations, as long as all NOCs are listed in the Ministerial Instructions."

Firstly, its not what I say. Its a direct copy paste from the OB.

From what I read, it seems like its only this list. Remember, you only qualify for FSW1 if you have 1 year full-time or equivalent experience in one of these mentioned roles. Read " ... eligible NOCs... " and ".. as long as all NOCs are listed in the Ministerial Instructions."

Thanks and sorry for all the questions..
Firstly,to be qualified to apply you must have 1 year full time or equivalent part-time experience listed occupations above .
Secondly, If you have that then you can claim points for other jobs that fall under Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification list within 10 years just before your application.
