I have two questions about Poe experience:
1. What all documents should be carried to be presented at POE, when asked by immigration officer?
2. I'll be staying with my relatives and if the immigration officer at POE asks me where I'll be staying, is it okay and safe to say that I'll be staying with my cousins/relatives ?
Hey I recently experienced this, here I go:
1. Airline will provide you with the Arrival form. Fill it and keep that form with your Travel document.
2. Once you are out of the plane just follow the instructions and move towards Baggage Claim.
3. In between you will find a queue saying Visitors, Residents. Just go n join the queue of Visitors.
4. Wait for your turn.
5. First IMO will greet you and will take your PP and arrival form.
6. He can ask you questions like " From where are you coming from", "Purpose of your Visit", "Duration of course", "Institute".
7. He will stamp your PP ,will return you the Arrival form and directs you to the place from where you will be getting your permit.
8. Once again queue, a common one.
9. Wait for your turn.
10. Second IMO will ask for your LOI, LOA, Travel doc, etc.
11. Will ask you some general questions regarding your stay, your course duration, how will you b paying the fees. Etc.
12. Will print your SP and staple to your PP.
13. You got what you want, now its time to leave.
14. Collect your baggage and move out.
15. While going out you have to submit the Arrival form.
Now your Questions:
1. LOA, LOI, TRAVEL DOC, Fee receipt and/or GIC/Student loan letter.
2. Yups that's fine, say initially for some days I will be staying with them. Then will move closer to my University/college..
Hope it helps!
Regards
