Question Regarding fingerprints...Please share your experience

Hello,

Is the fingerprint agency supposed to keep a copy of our documents?
I did my fingerprints and the agency collected a copy of my 2 I.D'S, COPR and IRCC letter(Fingerprints) for their own record. I was just concerned about it. Please advise.
