Question for PMM (almighty OZ "wink")

While my husband and I wait out application process, my daughter (9 years old) is scheduled to visit her grandparents in Edmonton AB for a week. Normally I would accompany her on the visit so that I could visit my friends and family. This time my husband is planning on going because I have to work and he is currently unemployed due to layoffs. Is my husband going to have problems crossing with her if he has notarized permission for him to take her, but he has a Perm Res. app in process or would it be ok because he has a return ticket for them both back to the states?

As long as the parent has permission from the other parent to allow the child to accompany him/her to Canada there are no problems. Whether your spouse is admitted is another matter. As long as he has proof of return transport, he should be okay. But there is never any guarantee about admissions when applications are in process.
