My wife's PR card expired in Feb 2014, but she completed her stay of 2 years in Sept 2014. I applied for the renewal on 8th October, 2014.
In Feb. 2015, I got a letter from CIC asking:

"For the purposes of determining if you have upheld the residency obligations in meeting the requirements for a Permanent Resident Card and in accordance with Section 28 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, please provide us with proof of your residency in Canada for the period October 6, 2014 to October 6, 2014. Please submit a copy of the following documents dated within the period specified above:
1) Complete pages (including blank pages) of your passport(s)/travel document(s) held in the last 5 years. Ensure all pages are in color and are clearly legible.
2) Personal immigration entry/exit record or movement certificate issued by the countries where you have travelled"

Do i need to provide another proof of residency for that period except the passport or only the passport. I had sent her old passport copies- may be i didnt send all the pages.

1 - Coloured photocopies of all pages of all passports covering the 5-year period immediately before the application was signed in addition to certified translation of non-English/French stamps in all passports.
2- If any of the passports show entry/exit stamps (in the relevant 5-year period) from other countries, contact the embassy/consulate of each country and request personal entry/exit records. They embassy/consulate will either obtain it for you or advise how to obtain such records.

Can u pls advise if the i94 available online is sufficient or we need to go through FOIA.
She stayed in USA for 6 months on B2 then came to canada for 9 days then again back to usa for 6 months and then back home.
That was in the year 2010( within last 5 years).

She met her RO around sept 25,2014 but we applied for her renewal after october 4, 2014 ( package mailed on 8th oct.2014 and reached cic on oct 14,2014) after 2 years she entered Canada on Oct 4, 2012.
But they have asked for period Oct 6, 2014 to Oct 6, 2014.
Is there anything to worry about??

I will send the colored photocopies of her 2 passports within last 5 years and the I-94 I got online from the U.S.Website after ur advice. Can u please confirm if i need to send anything else.

Thanks a Lot!!!

Oct 6, 2014 to Oct 6, 2014. Is that one day or is it a typo? I dont think they would want to verify one day only but pay attention to it and send everything that would support her movement that day.

See if you can get something more official than online I-94. FOIA might be better if it doesnt take too long. Good thing if you only have to deal with US.
