We will be moving to Ontario in about a year or so. By then my kids will have their citizen cards and I will have my PR hopefully. I have been checking into jobs in the Ontario area and have noticed that all the employers offer health care packages in their benefits package. My question is that if the country offers free health care for all their citizens then why are employers offering health care in their benefits packages. I have heard that the health care varies from province to province so is it that Ontario doesn't have that same health care for their citizens or what. Confused here and just looking for some answers. Thanks for your help.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
The provincial health care systems in Canada cover things such as doctor visits, hospital visits, necessary surgeries etc. What most employers offer is supplemental insurance, stuff that health care doesn't pay for such as medication, dental, vision care etc.
