Hi Seniors,

Query regarding : Q.11)What you have been doing in the last 5 years:

1)
When I landed , I was unemployed for 2 weeks before I found a full time job . Then I changed full-time jobs twice after that aswell. Each time there has been a gap of 4-5 days while switching from one job to another. So should I mention the initial period of 2 weeks and 4-5 gaps as unemployed?

I am asking this because so even if I mention the exact dates in the date calculator takes only YYYY-MM ,hence the even though the job status changes from employed to unemployed or vice versa but the month remains the same.......if I go by exact dates then the calculator takes me unemployed and employed for March 2018.

Example of my dates is:
Unemployed: Landed on 15th March 2018 to 28 March 2018
1st Job :29 March 2018 to 5th April 2018 ...........................if I go by exact dates then the calculator takes me unemployed and employed for March 2018.....WONT IT BE CONFUSING FOR THE VISA OFFICER?

2)
On weeks-ends and holidays I do part-time casual job too as a security guard ,along with my full time jobs. Do I have to mention about my part-time casual jobs too?

Best Regards

Just use a separate sheet with your dates in a tabular form. That should work fine. Anyways you have to use separate sheet,as the rows might not suffice to fill in all the details.

All jobs that were reported in your taxes T4, will need to be reported. They will be able to find out which is a main job, and part time job. Also you can explain all that in detail.

Hi Matlal,

Thanks for your response.
Rows is not a problem as the "+" below the last rows helps add more rows.

The problem is:

1) The fact that even if I select the exact dates but since the dates are captured as YYYY-MM not YYYY-MM-DD so it get confusing.

2) Is it ok to add more sheets of paper to the application, to explain the exact dates.

3) Should I even mention 2-4 days gap between jobs as "unemployment" or not mention ?

Best Regards
Jaspreet

Couple of days don't really matter. It should match what you have reported in your taxes , and that should match your employment history.

And yes, add as many sheets as you need. As many docs required to substantiate your case. More will never hurt. Try though not to send a big bankers box of documents and files :)

And overlapping months is just fine. I can stop working at a place mid month, and start another job few days later, so yes in that case the months overlap. Same as your resume, you don't idealy have day, it's only month and year.

I would agree what has been mentioned-above. Include everthing, you can get the exact date of employment by creating account on Service Canada website from Record of employment
