Quebec Sponsorship for Dakar Visa office

Hi everyone,

,....... If you check the countdown my brother God di win. I have DECISION MADE for my wife and baby. Early April they are touching down at Montreal Airport.

I applied in June 2014 and all was completed today. 9 months for FAM sponsorship.

I think yours will be coming soon. This is because we all applied at the same time.

I still have a problem though, I sent my PP to dakar, dakar says PP are ready for pick up, DHL goes to embassy and does not see any PP. Wrote to ambassy to know whereabouts of the passport, it is taking forever for visa office to reply my. I am complete frustrated? :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I am sponsoring my spouse through the Dakar visa office. After perusing the forum for information on Dakar V.O, this was the most recent thread I could find. It is time we revive this thread. Below is my details:

App. filed: MAY 5TH 2015

AOR: JUNE 2nd 2015

SA: JULY 6TH 2015

CSQ Applied: JULY 13TH

@ Manoh: Hope your family finally arrived. @ SenoritaBella: Hope you finally got your COPR too.

Last question: SA indicates my file was sent to Dakar on June 6th, but no AOR2 yet. My Ecas still shows -Application received -.
How long will it change to -in Process - . Thanks

Agree. We need to revive this thread. I have not received any update since we applied. From what I've read on the forum, Dakar does not send AOR2 and they will contact if they need more documents, there is an interview or a decision.

I'm not applying from Quebec. So far, what I have seen is those going through Quebec, it seems to be quicker.

I'm not applying from Quebec. So far, what I have seen is those going through Quebec, it seems to be quicker.

Alright thanks, I realized that after sending the message. Yeah, that's true...I know several persons in Quebec who completed theirs within an
average of 10 months. That not withstanding, a friend advised me to write to the VO if I don't get any update after several months to know the state of my application. He told me about another person whose application had been idle for about 6 months, just after a week she wrote to the VO, her status on ECAS changed to 'IN PROCESS' and then shortly afterwards, she was asked to send her passport.
Except your application has red flags like ; previously married, children from another relationship, has been denied visa in the past etc, the duration for the permanent resident application has reduced drastically.

Pls kindly add your timeline under your name. I was told i can only do so after writing 10 posts on the forum.

I am not with Dakar Visa Office but my cousin is. I know that 2 of her friends got the visa after 12 months exactely.They both applied in august 2013 and landed in Montreal in august 2014.
My cousin applied in July and nothing yet.

You can also request GCMS notes from your file. Our lawyer asked for an update in June, they haven't replied till now. So I take it they had nothing to add. I don't know why ours is taking so long but I remain hopeful and trust that all will be well in the end. I'll add my timeline.
