Yogie, I am a new member from chennai India and I have a clarification. I met an immigration agent in chennai who told me that ielts is not required for applying to quebec. How true is this? Even if quebec does not require ielts, wont canadian immigration require it? Kindly clear my doubt.
@satishpari ,

Your agent is partially right that IELTS in not must for claiming points for CSQ but in the absence of IELTS you must have to prove/show them(BIQ) that you have completed your degree/diploma/schooling in English medium in order to get that points for English Language factor.

Lets Calculate my points please..

I need a help please...Im applying for Quebec Skilled worker Programme.Im giving My details everything, help me how many points i got now already and how many points more i need

Education : Masters (International Business and Management) In London United Kingdom 2011 "do you have around 6 months experience ] in this field? If yes then 12+6 else 10+6 for your bachelor if they count your bachelor as your qualification
Education : BTech (Mechanical Engineering (4 years Bachelors in India) in 2008
Experience : 1 year 8 months (Full time) and 1 year (Part Time) Still doing.. 4 points
Language :{English} Consultancy guys told me IELTS is not mandatory for me,because i have done my masters in English (Is it really require IELTS for me) 6 points
Language : {French} Looking Forward to join in any institution (which is required for me)
Age : 24 years 16 points
If they count your master's as your qualification then 44 points otherwise 42 points,

So please make your experience to more than 2 years which will give you 6 points and learn french upto A2 level which will give you 6 more points. It is risky to file your application now.

Yogie thanks a lot for the points link. And is there any document that specifies the occupations that are in demand in quebec? (because couple of my friends are also interested).
Yes I have done my degree in English and can provide a letter from the university. I can also get a letter from my employer stating that my day to day communication is in english. Will this be enough for english ability?

So now just attach the registration receipt/letter from the institute you are learning the french with your application. All the best go ahead !!!

All notarised copy like education documents and work contract and pay slips etc, butt u have to take letter from your employer in company letter head about your job role, duties, date of joining etc that letter is going original.
Transcript means your mark sheet when u finish your degree then they give u whole detail mark sheet in their university letter head bout what grades u got etc.

Dear yogie,

I am planning to apply for QSW. Can you please calculate the points for me and also suggest if I need to take french level test, if so then what will be the level that I have to sit for.

I am post graduate (Masters from university of Delhi)
no training falls under point system of Quebec
I am 34 years and 3 months old.
My experience is over 11 years.
Language ability I have scored 6.5 band in ielts (Is it mandatory to furnish ielts score to claim maximum points under qsw)
No relatives in Quebec
My husband is 37 years old and he is running his own business of Heavy engineering, He is Higher secondary. (What level of french he has to sit for as he is also planning to take french classes) also suggest on what scale his french level will be assessed for maximum points.
We have one child of six and half years old.
We have sufficient funds for QSW and as well as for federal apart from some properties in the joint names.
On what grounds visa officer gives points for adaptability factor and how the one can achieve maximum one.

Looking forward for your reply on above.
