That's right. You'll have 16 points for AOT. New rules boosted the nursing occupation in terms of points :) The old ones awarded only 12. Also, assuming that you have 1 year of experience as a nurse it will give you 4 points.
Thanks for the quick and informative response, Ievgen :) That's all I need to know at this time. Godbless. Merci :D

they should b so strict for nurses with B2 minimum.
they must study maybe 1 year but what I am sure they must do exam in French to become registered nurses.

because I see these applicants not aware about that, and not easy at all to leave to federal.
as federal nurses not any more required, that means they cant grant job in federal
They all need to apply for license to order of nursing, but it's another matter. Usually nursing degree holders from outside of North America need to complete 1-2 years of internship training before being granted a license. And it's somewhat good actually because less people will qualify for jobs and it minimizes competition. In contrast, in federal case everyone is qualified and granted a PR and in the end they become unemployed because the pool of job-seekers is huge

The waiting time varies on average from 11 to 16 months. The location of interview is specified by your current place of residence. In USA there're two visa offices in Buffalo and Seattle. From what I read, first the interviewer will ask very basic questions in french and if you're able to respond coherently he'll ask more challenging ones. Therefore, the if you're able to continue dicussion the whole interview will be solely in french. If he sees that you have difficulties then he'll turn to english,
Thank you

Very well said Ievgen! :) And besides, the province earns from every application sent to them. I dont think they will become strict on this one.

Federal application package also includes this declaration of intent to reside in Quebec. Is it the one you're saying?

Hello everyone! :)
First of all, I've been reading your posts since July and I am extremely thankful to everyone who is generous enough to share their experiences and give suggestions to others esp the newbies. Anyway, I'm sorry that my question is a bit out of context, but, let me try.

I don't have any paid working experience as of now and lets say I got hired as a company nurse , January of next year. So for me to be eligible for the 1 year work experience (4points), I have to wait until January of 2015. I just want to ask if after March 14, 2014 and the 20,000 cap was filled, will there be another round for March 2014 - March 2015. Do you think the demand for nurses will change? Does the Canadian/ Quebec immigration change their points system / work demands every year?

I know that it's only the immigration who can tell.Haha. But, what do you guys think?( Just base it on the trend of the immigration for the last 5-10 years) . I will greatly appreciate your help guys. Thank you :)

If you are a trained nurse with a nursing diploma(degree)certificate to prove that, you are eligible to apply for Quebec Skilled workers program provided you have worked for at least one full year within the last five years whether you are employed presently or not
and has scored minimum of 51 points for singles and 57 points for couples.
Your question on what happens next year can only be answered by guess work. Why not try and application within the present immigration year where the rules are favorable to your profession instead of banking on the future immigration rules which might not be in your favour.
