hi everyone,
i am an international student in montreal,Quebec...
My background:
currently pursuing - Masters in software engineering(half completed)
undergraduate:- Computer science and engineering(4 years)
Ielts:- S-6 ,L-7.5,R-7.5,W-5.5
NO french
Age-24
work experience:- 6 months experiience as a training(internship) in software industry
stay in quebec:- 1 year till now

i want to know can i apply for CSQ in regular program ....if YES then whats the rough processing times for the candidates applied under new rules because nothing is mentioned on the website.....

i guess for you it would be much easier to apply in general, however you should start studying the French language while you are in Montreal, it woould be cheaper and more efficient as you would be able to practice it on a daily basis ( i guess in one year max. you would be able to make it) and then by the time you obtain your certification, you would be able to apply immediately. i am not good at the point calculation, but you may double check if you have enough points to apply now.

How did you know that they have started processing applications from pakistan? anyone receive interview call or call before interview

Its clearly written on their website that they are processing applications for November 2010 at Hong Kong office.

Since our (Pakistan and India) BIQ is Hong Kong, we should suppose that our applications are going to be processed now. But I am not 100% sure about that. However, do note that until now there was no such update for BIQ Hong Kong office and it has been updated recently. Also we can imagine the wait we still have to do is, cz my application file date is November 2011 and they have just started for November 2010. So, its going to be another year or so, I have to wait for.

As for as interview is concerned there is no mission for BIQ Hong Kong, but we shall remain optimistic for next quarter and I think they will send a mission for BIQ Hong Kong soon.

i just received my AOR today..Can anyone give me any idea since my IELTS expired last July 31, 2013, if I need to take another IELTS. I sent my application last June 19, 2013...Im also worried they might request an updated result of my IELTS..Thanks

Congrats at least your file has passed the completeness check. IELTS is valid for 2 years, and the locked_in date is when yr file was received. The waiting game has just started for you. It is One year 3 months since I got AOR, but I am patiently waiting for God's time which is the best. Quebecers are not serious; we are getting old, every passing day such that by the time we go for medicals we are sick and miss the visa, and they have chopped yr money

Requirement of missing documents

Hi all, I need pretty much your help,

I received an e-mail from BIQ MEXICO asking about my spouse's internships documents which are: "* Photocopie d’attestations de stage délivrées par des entreprises ou des établissements scolaires", we have some agreements signed in the time she did those internship, we tried to get the others from the university but they dont have it anymore, I read carefully and saw that they say also "ou des établissements scolaires", what you all think if I ask the university to make a document with all details of the internship she did, like: hours, place, teacher and also the subject according her transcript. It would have the sign of the place where she did the internship but it would be signed by the course coordinator. Please, any help or advice are welcome.

Ils ont fait une correction pour les delais de traitement.
C'est pas une mise a jour specialment pour le moyen orient il y a pas de changement. C'est toujours janvier 2011.

**Veuillez noter que nous avons corrigé une erreur qui s'est produite lors de la mise à jour des délais de traitement des dossiers des candidats de l'Algérie, du Maroc et de la Tunisie, au début du mois de novembre. Nous sommes désolés pour les inconvénients que cette erreur a pu occasionner.

Hey Carro, congratulations to you to man, you guys give me hope. All the best with the Federal stage as well. I should be resuming AF in January also. I did the beginners intensive in the summer and just completed beginners plus.

my brother in law (brother of my wife) he's a permanent resident in Montreal, can i claim 3 points or not especially that in the evaluation for QSW they mention"Est-ce que vous ou votre époux ou conjoint de fait avez un parent au Québec qui est citoyen canadien ou résident permanent ?"

You might have misunderstood, link you posted above clearly says

"If your country of residence is Hong Kong and if you have submitted an application for immigration before November 2010 and your file is complete, you should have been already called for a selection interview"

I'm losing my hope as we are approaching December and yet no one in Asia got scheduled their interview. If by the December end nobody receive any intimation for selection interview then there would not be any mission for Asia till 31st March 2014.
