No No No Egypt2011.

I totally disagree with you. Let Him go ahead and submit his application, as soon as possible, ad advisably before the 31st March 2013!! 4 Year Bach degree in nursing is amongst the priority AOTs for Quebec Now!! It fetches him 16 points on the grid of AOTs. Some applications were suspended till the date of March 31st, but NOT NURSING..........TO CERTIFY THE LEGALITY OF WHAT I'M SAYING, go to your link posted, and read POINT NUMBER 5 for SKILLED WORKERS.........I COPIED AND PASTED IT HERE:

-You or your accompanying spouse hold a diploma awarded by a teaching institution in an area of training allowing you to get 6 (see list, in French, 38 kb), 12 or 16 points under the area of training criterion of the selection grid for skilled workers (see list, in French, 35 kb). The number of years of study required to obtain your diploma must be at least equal to the number of years required to obtain that diploma in Québec. This diploma was obtained less than five years before the date of your application. Failing that, you must have practised, on a full-time basis and for at least one year out of the five years preceding the date of your application, a profession or trade in an area related to that diploma.

HOPE THIS ENCOURAGES OUR DEAR FRIEND.

GOOD LUCK IN YOUR APPLICATION.

You are good to apply. So go to Quebec immigration website and download the current forms. Have you taken your IELTS and TCFQ already and have the results? If not, i'll advise you to get them ready and in your hands before applying.

Good luck!!

Stylove is absolutely correct. I am a nurse my self and I applied on Oct 2012 and received my AOT in Dec 2012. If you are a nurse and holding 4 years BSN degree-you are good to go.

Big congratulations for getting the interview invitation. Wish you all the best. At least someone got the invitation after long delay.
I am not sure about your birth certificate, it should be better to ask BIQ by email or through phone. As you have already submitted original B.Tech certificate that should be fine.
Thanks Harit for your reply and good wishes. I think there is a selection mission happening in march/april in New York. So many of us from this region might get interview calls. It will be a little over 1.5 years since we applied when I go in for the interview.

Well, I submitted my husband's and mine original transcripts(not certificate). I did not think of emailing them to ask about the birth certificate, I will contact them ASAP.

Do you think it is a good idea to sit for the DELF exams after receiving the interview call? My interview is sometime in April and the DELF exams in my city happen in June and Decemeber. The primary applicant will be sitting for A1 DELF and I might take the next level DELF B2(I have already comepleted B1 a year ago).

Would it seem desperate that we register for the exam after receiving the invite. The truth is we have been learning French but did not want to sit for the exams without any further communication from the BIQ.
