you can try Alberta its best place for E & I

I know well your profession, Ive been managing control rooms in my previous job.

hello alinec
In order to apply for medical card, they will force you to sign documents that you'll not leave Quebec.
I had treatment in hospital and they forced me to sign paper which says, if I leave Quebec I should return all the money.

I suggest Alberta/Vancouver.

If you have plan to leave Quebec, don't apply for medical card, because you cant cancel it before completing 6 months.

Once you receive you PR, pack your bags and leave :D

But remember Toronto too expensive.

As Aline said, you can do bridging course, all my friends attended it 8)

I want to ask you about the tornadoes in Canada I was making some research I found that many tornadoes hit Canada please could you tell us how tornadoes hit Canada? do they kill people? please could u tell us about the weather difficulties in Canada?
A small tornado hit ottawa a couple of days ago, we were home, the speed was around 10km/h. Thousands spent hours without electricity and the damage was mostly trees falling on roofs, one of these incidents happened near our house. Don't worry about it, you'll survive

You are exaggerating the importance of staying in QC. Thousands of quebec skilled workers move away from QC and get passports with no probs. The government wants you to live in a province where you bring money to the federal budget and not suck money out of it. Besides, it is so easy to prove you were worse off in QC as there are only three possible outcomes after landing:
1. No job at all - you are claiming social benefits
2. Minimum wage job - you earn little but still claim minor benefits like credit d'impot pour solidarite.
3. You got real job but salary is lower than in other provinces, hence your tax payments are lower (no worries, this will apply to every single profession - wages in QC are always lower than in other provinces).

So in any case it will be super easy to prove that by moving you wanted to be most useful to Canada (not claiming benefits, maximizing taxes paid etc.).

But if you permit my advice - I would stay in QC. I moved to Alberta and regret it. First, it is very rural and does not have the facilities that you have in Montreal (metro, theatres, museums etc.). Second, the weather in Montreal is among the mildest in Canada. Third, they have socialism in QC so the government will not let you starve - they will always throw a warm bone to you in the form of a social benefit. Fourth, cost of living is so much lower than in anglophone provinces (especially rent). Here in Alberta you are one-on-one with brutal weather like a bear.

i have a very strong feeling that they are going to screw us big times if we relocate to Toronto without a Super Strong evidence that we couldn't survive in Quebec. Citizenship guys won't let it pass easily... i prefer to starve and stay in Quebec and not to breach the system and die waiting for my citizenship ...

Be careful on that - my indian friend got rejected for PR card renewal because she was living between Canada and India and the officer found that there is no evidence of her meeting the residency requirement.

Hello to everyone,

I just discovered this forum and after a short check-up i can already say that this a great one!
Am a candidate to the Canadian immigration as a qualified worker for Quebec.

I started with this long process in April 2009 and am not done still now!.
by God's grace i received my Quebec Certificate of selection in May 2010 and now i am dealing with the federal section.
October 2010 was the date i got my federal receipt and since that time still waiting for medicals.

In a mail i received from the embassy few days ago, they let me know that my dossier is being revised and that for now they are dealing with the dossiers received before January 2010. they also add that it's only when they will finish with the verification of my antecedents that they will be able to send me forms for the medical visit.

SO THAT'S IT !!!

SORRY THE POOR QUALITY OF MY ENGLISH. ;) AM A FRENCH SPEAKER.

Hi Hiba..

As a CSQ applicant, you need to prove that you tried to stay in Quebec before moving to another province (at least a year), moving after 2 months "might" create problems.

As for rest check my answer in Red
hello alinec and thank you for your reply and for other the other members who gave their opinion too ;)

well between montreal /quebec and toronto our plan depends on the time of landing if we land early in june or so we will have couple of months trying to find work before my kid starts school (we don't want to move much cs of him it is enough for him to handle the big move to canada we dont want to stress him more to start school in montreal and after couple of months move him to somewhere else) so if he started school in montreal we will not move before the school year ends so we will apply for the quebec health card meanwhile and we secure the six month obligation of stay for it, we want to settle down permanently but sure the job market plays the big role in our settlement :-X
i agree with you and i was talking wz my husband about living in down town (montreal or toronto) depending where our work will be if we live near our work location will spare us time and money, at least for me (my work), my husband must have a driver license cs of his job.

about your advice : "Rewrite your Resume (i recommend professional writing services it will cost around 1500-250$ and it is worth it)" where i can find a professional writing services?
