It depends on them ... but @ least now you're waiting the Interview for sure ..

note that ur documents were complete in June 2011 .. whereas, mashraf file was complete in Dec 2011 .. so i think it makes sense that mashraf received an email before.

I think so, the same, what documents did you update?

anyways sometimes they call interview without waiting list, sometimes waiting list one month, and max 6 months

nop, i dont think so ... u have to count starting from the date u submitted all required documents.
note that ur documents were complete in June 2011 .. whereas, mashraf file was complete in Dec 2011 .. so i think it makes sense that mashraf received an email before.

All what I updated them was my check amount, I sent them a new check with additional 5 FU**** dollars!!!
I sent my complete right application + documents on 20 December, but they decided to increase the amount of the application from 1st January (395$ instead of 390$) .. It's wasn't something missing from my side!!!
But even when they sent me the letter/email that they need a new check with additional 5$, it was the AOR + my file number + my ref number existed in the email .. so I've got them all in one package!!!
Ughhhh .. anyway, I'm not sure now .. maybe u're right!!

i don't think the documents you sent later has any influence now to delay your interview. I myself was asked to send the original documents of my wife's certificates and they also wanted me to send my work certificates again because some info on them was missing. you will receive an email soon.

Hey guys,

My complete application was submitted on 30/11/2010 to Damascus Office. I submitted both TEF and IELTS. I got B2 on TEF and really high on IELTS. I supported my application with all type of supporting documents and much more. They confirmed to me that it was received and I assumed that all is okay. Then, I got married in July 2012 so I collected all the required documents for my wife (who did her Masters in Paris) and submitted them along my application. I was hoping that when the evaluation of my file happens, my wife would be already included. On 30/10/2012, I receive an email from them noting that I satisfied all the requirements and that I am placed on a waiting list for an interview with one of the immigration officers. Since then, I contacted them once around mid-April asking for an update and they replied noting that I am still on the waiting list and to NOT contact them anymore!

Here are my questions:
0- What do you think of my french test score?
1- I assume this whole delay is because they relocated the Damascus Office operations to Montreal, what do you think?
2- Did they already evaluate the file of my file along my file when they informed me that I am invited for an interview?
3- Why is it that I have been placed on the waiting list for this long (since 30/10/2012)?!
4- Would the demonstrations currently happening in Istanbul negatively affect the interviews?
5- If I get the CSQ in the interview, how long does it take after that to actually Land in Canada?

0- your french score is fine no worries. also you may say that you plan to make it perfect when you go to quebec.
1- this is a part of the reason the second is that they are receiving large no. and trying to slow down the process in order to decrease the no. of intake.
2- they conducted a primary evaluation that showed that you have the minimum points to enter the interview but during the interview there is the "real" evaluation and the consular can accept, refuse, put you for more waiting til he restudy your file or ask for documents.

3- it is the date you sent your file that matters not the date of the waiting list.you applied in November which means that you are in turn you should expect to get your interview call this month (i hope).

4- Possibly, i cant confirm it depends on how they will develop or will they calm down. i guess they are going to finish the current mission any way. from my experience when things went "Active" in Alexandria Egypt. they continued the mission there then they stopped doing any new missions there and moved interviews to Istanbul. so in case Istanbul burns down they will send the interviews to a different country.

5- this totaly depends on the country of your residence. which determine which visa office you will apply to. each visa office has its time frame . it can be 6 month or 42 month.

1- sure the hole process has been delayes because of syria office closure
2- you should receive an email informing you the date of interview max 6 month after wiating list email. the date of interview will be after 2 month of this email so due to your date 30/10/2012 it should be between 30/4-10/5/2013 but i think the delay because of the new reassissmnet of your file .

That's genona it took 7 months for medical is done. new cases in abu dhabi takes 11-13 months.

i know my freind that it could be faster but i am informing him solid information based on CIC websaite . suddenly after you get CSQ i feel you wish be in montreal tomorrow as all of us. it could be faster for genona because she is nurse but you can not make her time reference for abudhabi office . what is written on cic website is statistics based on 80% of cases time line so we can not neglect it. i wish you and all get the visa as soon as possible

No priority in federal, as my profession now is priority in federal.
but all getting medical 8 months after csq.
i have friend electrical engineer got it too.
hope will b fast. i consider it 5 years.

But they used before to depend first on Letters (For requesting documents, for interview dates, for additional info etc ..) which they send to our Box addresses, then on our emails!!!
