My french test is since 2010 ... I got B ... now I am waiting for the interview, of course, I don't need to retake the TCF - do I ?!
Also, how come you're saying that it has nothing to do with File number! Sure it has! I think it is the combination of File number & NOC...
I can't prepare for this interview before they give me the exact date... I really don't think that i need more than 1 month to prepare .. I mean come on! You just need to know many stuff about Canada & Quebec and have a game plan, will that take more than a month?!
Patientman the TCFQ will serve you only for 2 years, so if you did the test in 2010 then I don't think u can rely on it anymore ::)
And what I meant by your file number doesn't matter, is that the embassy count on when your file is ready and complete .. this is the date that matters .. Otherwise I MUST BE ON WAITING LIST NOW .. hehehe
And I think that 1 month is more than enough for your Interview preparation ;)
Peace.

you can't right away...you have to stay in Quebec for a few months, and prove you made every effort to find a job in Quebec.
Canadian_Citizen I didn't know about this rule!!! ::) ::)
According to my friend who lives in Montreal and to another friend who lives in Ontario u can move right away as soon as u land ..
They can't stop u and u don't have to prove anything for anyone ..
You can move to any other place within Canada ;)
But I think the best is to wait at least a little till you get your ID and other official document, so in a month I think u'll be eligibile to move ;D
Peace.

Dudes, NOC 1111 ... I'm in the Internal Audit category ... already working with one of Big 4 companies in UAE (Deloitte) and my game plan is to simply transfer with Deloitte from UAE to Canada, which is something you can easily do. I am planning to show them during the interview a letter from Deloitte (stamped ;)) promising that they will be willing to transfer me to Montreal office, what do you think about that? to what extent this can help me?
Patientman this idea is PERFECT and I think that it'll give u a push in your interview ;)
Peace.

Well everyone here signed a form saying you intend to leave in Montreal (or another place in Quebec)...so the Quebec government expects you to live where you said you will. It's true that as a permanent resident you have the right to move anywhere you want in Canada...however you need to wait for your card to arrive in the mail...and that's approximatly 3 months or so. I called immigration Quebec with this question, and they told me since Quebec accepted you why would you live elsewhere? so from what I understand, you need to stay in Quebec for a few months, and prove to them you did your best to find a job etc. They have the right to kick you out, since you signed that form....I don't think they will but it's better to play it safe.

cherif2100 EXACTLYY ..
I think this is the last shot .. Canada will stop the immigration sooner or later ..
They already start to calculate the immigrants number that they have and they are counting on their kids and the next generation bla bla bla ..
So 50.000 immigrant/year with their kids 2 by family etc ... do the MATH :p
Hehehe
Peace.

Ohhh Got you .. crystal clear ;)
Anyway, once I'm there I don't intend to leave Quebec because it's better than the other provinces ;)

I lived in Quebec before...now I live in Ontario (Ottawa) and like it sooo much more...but I guess everyone's preferences are different.

What are you talking about? This is not true! Say if my language skills are B... they can only improve over the years rather than going down! Also, how will the immigration officer calculate my language score at the interview then? it can't be subjective, he'll have to rely on my French test! Plus, my wife live in Paris for like 2 yrs and she speaks French really well (with the accent :p:p) so i can also rely on her for that!!

But dudes... All I want is to get this interview over done with! this is so boring... Check Australia, they give you an answer in 8 weeks!!!! You land in 12 months!!!!! This Canadian system is making me doubtful .. they remind me of the French system :p lol ... you need like a 100 signature (manually) to process a government paper ..

I completely understand and agree with you Patientman ;D
Well said ..
But what I'm trying to point to is only the rules, you can go online and check about the TCFQ exam, you'll see that it'll last only for 2 years, after that you have to make another test ..
But I totally agree about everything that you said above ...
And the more stupidity of all things is that the new immigration rules also oblige the people who born or whose 1st language is the French ALSO must make the french test otherwise they won't get any points for language proficiency ..
So in my idea this is not fair and completely doesn't make any sense @ ALL
But again I agree with you, and I started to be more doubtful about the French system too ..
After all, we decided ALL to move to an advanced country to start feeling a bit like humans, but it seems that the bad rules and the unprofessional ism with the daily work is EVERYWHERE :p :p .. Welcome to Planet EARTH LOL
Peace.

my aunts uncles grandma are all australians, begging in australia no jobs at all,,, my cousin asking me to find job for her son in dubai, my cousins wife went to lebanon and took course makeup then went back to australia and openned salon, my uncle manager in brisbane after 23 my dad sent him ticket to visit lebanon, my aunt my dad gave her house in lebanon....
I had the immigration visa in 2003 but i preferred to stay in dubai.
you need 1000$/week to survive.

now regarding immigration to australia/new zealand they have EOI system, you cant apply immigration, you will apply expression of interest, if they are interested about you, then they will invite you to apply for immigration, and they have pool.

This what canada will implement on DEC 2014. wait 4-6 months youll get your csq ;D

And for 12 month you land, my cousin's wife waited 1 year for her medical hehe, all immigration systems the same.
canadian better they are more clear, they mention correct process times
